"When we say the hits just keep on coming for Cyberpunk 2077...We hope that CD Projekt Red will be able to turn it all around and regain their reputation, as they’ve stated they plan to do, but it seems like it’s going to be an arduous journey from here."

It certainly will be an arduous journey when gaming journos seem desperate to give the CP 2077 story legs in to the new year.

News is news. I guess everyone could just stop talking about it, but it wouldn't make the problems go away.

I've got over 100 hours in the game, but it's slowing. I do have to admit, there's a lot I probably still haven't done, and I'm on my 3rd character, but most of what I'm doing has all been done before.

As much as I would love not to see a new problem every day with Cyberpunk, there's some news, like this save data problem, that I probably wouldn't have even noticed until it was too late.

I still think the game is worth the price, but, it wasn't what I expected, longevity wise.

Considering that Steam reviews are 78% positive with more than a quarter million reviews, either there are a lot of people who are mostly happy with the PC version or there's a massive review stuffing campaign going on.

It's the first - the PC version is mostly ok, issues are nothing that hasn't been in other AAA games launched in the past few years.

I have about 60 hrs in the game, updated gameready driver after 2 minutes in the starting area.
Didn't see a crash, not a single one of them in my 60 hrs, most of them sessions of 5-8+ hrs straight (streaming), there are still the VODs as evidence.
Physics bugs? Glitches? Yes, tons of them.
Most of them funny, a couple not so much as they involved failing a boss fight.

I love the game and I hope they'll turn things around fixing glitches/bugs, the promised free DLCs, new features (reset appearance in-game entirely: it would be actually lore compliant) and 6-12 months from now give us expansions ^^

100 hours is not to be sniffed at, how many games do any of us get a 100 hours of play for any game and I am one of those completionism types, though I don't do alts?

is Sony homophobic ? have they ever carried a game with a gay character ?

    my opinion.

Mars, that's so out on a limb, I think Sony could have kept sales open for new gen consoles and I think the media is stoking this up like they did not have enough Xmas logs for the Yule fire. I also wonder why EA and Warner Bros for Anthem and Batman Arkham respectively did not get such a media bashing, maybe some gaming companies are too big to get as much criticism as CP 2077 is right now?

But to say this is homophobia, you are so way out there, you need to get stabilisers for your planet's orbit mate. :)

Looking at the stock, this is a take over push. Why didn't Sony Quality Control who obviously tested the game for it to get a green light allow the game to be published for PS4 ? Sony is shady a F, and I guarantee, this is a takeover push from Sony. Not only will they gain a studio but a platform to sell games with GOG. We may never get the next Witcher Game now because of people who are to fucking stupid to understand there peice of shit console is shit.,

Game is god damn masterpeice, and this is all that gets talked about, some out dated fucking trash console who knew they couldnt run it. I will never buy anything Sony again, fuck them and fuck consoles.
It doesn't run right on the one-s either.  Sony decided to take a PS4 game off their storefront.  This isn't a PS5 game so why should they keep a non-functional PS4 game in their store?  This is a last gen game that won't run correctly on last gen hardware, and they tried to hide it, which is even worse.

    Wtf is with this "News"?!

One angry (investor) guy, who happens to be a lawyer, thinks he can sue CD Projekt Red for..what?! I mean, there are also "doctors" in this time and age, who don't believe in Corona Virus or they go like "..is just a flu".

And the title, geezes. I swear I was thinking like "is GOG going to shut down because of "lawsuits" or something ?!

But then is about some corrupted saves which most likely, is because of the duplicated "hacks" and you call this, and I quote : Unfortunately, that isn’t all of the bad news.

HOW is this a bad news?!?

I swear mmorpg.com is starting to look like your usual "extravaganza" website with "News" like : AMAZING!! CLICK HERE TO LEARN HOW BILL GATES VACCINE IS POTENTIALLY........................CLICK CLICK CLICK!!!

Well the PS4 version is playable on the PS5 and customers could have been told "only buy for PS5". Any ideas on how it is doing on the PS5, what I have read seems to be mixed?

    1. Anyone has a right to file a lawsuit, whether it holds up being valid or not is something for a judge to determine. - equating this to a fallacious claim of coronavirus = flu is a really dumb analogy

There is certainly so much value lost to shareholders and evidence pointing that CDPR misrepresented the quality of the product to shareholders that a lawsuit is highly likely and valid

    2. You are blaming corrupted saves on players? Really now... its not a problem of coding an 8MB save limit? Really now?

    3. Its a valid warning from GoG - since they've encountered players who have lost all progress when they hit 8MB save limit- this is a good PSA - players need to be warned

I'm thinking he just lacks reading comprehension here. The save issue could be due to someone duping but it is related to hoarding items, which is specifically what the title states. It's good to know because this can happen to anyone who holds on to weapons and items, or crafts without breaking things down. It can potentially affect anyone.

    Yeah. that's a BAD THING.

    This is ridiculously off base...

Every post you have some ridiculous excuse why the game is getting criticism

From - well it wasn't designed for last get consoles you stated in previous threads (lol)

    Takeover push from Sony (lol)

    To now... homophobia... /cringe

This is how conspiracy theories are born - its utter horseshit because there is very logic explanation why the game is getting criticism and is nowhere near a masterpiece - its an average game  7/10 game that has a lot of core issues due it being rushed before it was done

That wasn't that hard to figure out, was it?

Let's see what other crazy conspiracy you come up with next
I'm thinking he has never heard of TLOU 2

Well BG3 is listed as an EA title, and CP is listed as a finished one. So they should have either done more work on it before release or label it accordingly.
    https://store.steampowered.com/earlyaccessfaq/?snr=1_5_9_

See my opinion is completely different there.
My view is that you have 2 different options for releasing on Steam.

    a) Release the game into EA and charge based on that (maybe $45 AUD max).
    b) Release the game as complete and charge based on that (maybe $90 AUD max).

BG3 took BOTH options - released into EA and charged FULL price.

Where are the complaints about that?
The only difference there is they tagged it as EA, but still took all your money...

The same complaints would have happened if CDPR released into EA and charged that amount. The hype around the game is what has made it such a big deal at the moment.

Ah yes, providing a broken buggy game and being told, "just don't play our game, bro." and essentially, "it's a feature not a bug." When people mention a terrible issue with saving that should not exist.

Instead of stopping the crunch train and backstepping to make a functioning game and pulling their garbage last gen console ports they suckered people into buying which they knowingly hid pretty much every view/mention of. They were too busy marketing and manipulating people who were excited for the game, some of them who still somehow still joy it.

This is why I have long given up hope for pre ordering games and have stopped doing so. I'm not going to pay a premium fee early for a game to get an early access experience on the open access release date ESPECIALLY after being told that the game was complete with all the features and content they had promised through and through.

This isn't a case of, "OMG games are so hard to develop without getting ROFLstomped," this is a case of companies abusing and crunching their poor employees because yet another boat of lies and marketing "magic" as well as the setting of a bunch of unobtainable or not properly occured release dates when what they need to do is just make the game. This whole situation is a case of neglect and abuse on the corporate scale and should be treated as such and like just about any game made by a big company, regardless they will still most likely get away with an ill gained profit.
