Blizzard taking on a new company to do a remake? Next week maybe somebody will be making a new game? :)

Just an FYI. It was already an Activision studio, as pointed out by @blueturtle13 in the original thread. It isn't a huge stretch that they were absorbed by Blizz. They were also responsible for the Tony Hawk remakes which were very well received by a dedicated and picky fanbase. After the Warcraft fiasco this is probably good news to Diablo 2 fans.
You know I don't keep up with these things, but Blizzard separated from Activision so it is still a merger if a more obvious one. I get they are known for remakes, but remakes are not what gaming is about. I was astonished to see remakes in the peoples choice awards last year, that simply should not be allowed. I do not understand why gamers are not getting more savvy about this issue, we are being resold old rope for new.

That said, as a PC only gamer I welcomed the influx of console titles on Steam and keep an eye out for any remake news about such titles I have on my wish list, obviously if they are going to remake them I can wait. But to me they are brand new games and well worth it.

When did Blizzard separate from Activision? It's Vivendi that Activision got rid off. They still own Blizzard or it's part of their subsidiary or something.
