Bottom Advert Driving me crazy!

Is there a way to stop the stupid..(that's right, I went there, STUPID) bar at the bottom from popping up.  My descent into madness is being hastened by it.  I close it and it comes.back....i try to hit the close, but it's so small, it takes these arthritic hands a few tries.  It also blocks my view when I type.

Will no one rid me of this troublesome add?

Any tips welcomed!

Well, the BDO babes were at least sexy. I liked that silver haired one. Would never stop (adventuring) with some of them.

Back to topic, no idea, I'm interested too.

That is the most annoying thing on any site I visit.  It singlehandedly makes me not login on mobile sometimes because it's so damn annoying.

This sites done afew questionable things with advertising pop ups blocking where you type.

I know, but I do try to support the site when I can.  I'd much rather toss them $5 a month or something as a sub and have an ad free option.

I don't see a bottom video.  I'm not blocking ads on this site, though I do block trackers and have an add-on to block all HTML5 autoplay videos.

Actually, now that I have another look, it appears that the site isn't showing me most of the ads that it probably intends to.  There's some zergnet and revcontent junk, but that's it.  And that's even with the ad blocker turned off.

I used to, but when they added that bottom pop-up ad it was too much and I invoked the blockers.

yeah, I don't know what happened to that. They polled us to see if people would subscribe to the site. I know the nexus sites have a subscription. I'd rather toss them some money than have that horrible video. All the time the video. Always clicking it off.

I’m at the point where I may have to find something to block ads on my iPhone and iPad.  It’s just getting to be that annoying...

I only view this website on my desktop, so the placement of that popup video doesn't get in the way of anything, though it is still very irritating.

What bothers me more is whatever ad is at the top of the screen that seems to change size a few times on each page load. It means every time I follow a link, the page jumps up and down a few times before I can actually read something. Occasionally it gets a bit stuck and the screen ends up vibrating until I refresh.

I hate to say it, but might have to go to desktop only.  Which means a lot less coming to the site.  I come here a few times a day, but on desktop it'll be once, maybe twice a week.  I just haven't been pc'ing much lately.

I gave in and installed a blocker on the iPad..  much better.  I will leave my desktop blocker free though

I raised this in Site Suggestions, I have been here since 2003 and never used an adblocker as I feel the sites I frequent should get ad revenue. That pop up video made me install an ad blocker after 18 years here!

i tend to skip mobile or tablets when browsing. Small dimension screens are a MAJOR cause of loss of eyesight later on. Only use PC nowadays.

I appreciate sites need to make money but when the ads are so invasive it becomes unusable it's just absurd.
