Read my review this game is just fantastic.

Yes the graphics look old but if your like me and many others who played UO graphics aren't everything.

try it!!!!!!! if you don't know what your doing join a channel this game has the best community.

I actually think the graphics look pretty darned good. My system is definitely taking a major performance hit, though. My fps and ping are abnormally low even on low graphics settings. I've used the suggested tweaks to the .def files, but the changes were really minimal. My system isn't state of the art, but it should certainly be performing better than it is. (P4 2.6 Ghz, 1 gig RAM, GeForce 6800 128 meg, 100 Mbps cable connection). My fps usually hovers around 30, but decreases everytime I go through a portal. After I've been on for an hour, it's not at all unusual to get some serious sluggishness or stuttering in cities.

Despite a bunch of technical issues, however, I'm still having a pretty fun time with the free trial. It does tend to get a bit tedious around the time you make your 15,000th cedar leather tannin in order to advance your outfitter skill. Fortunately, you're not really tied into any one thing, so it could certainly be worse. I really do think the character models are superb, though. My only gripe with them is that dryads are the only race that appears to have been fully finished as far as character creation options; they must have five more sliders than any other race. On the bright side, dryad was the race I wanted to play, so I got all the benefits from that. I'm not sure I'd be willing to subscribe at this point, but what I've seen is enough to make me check back at a later date.

I tried the free trial a long time ago. The graphics were quite nice I thought but the music in the starting area was what got me. Just absolutely gorgeous. The problem was, I never saw anybody. When I made it to the first major city off the newbie isle it was utterly deserted.

I've been considering another trial to check it out (since new races have been unlocked) but I'm wondering how the community is?

yep the towns are quite deserted but Kion is the main town everyone trades in so normally a few people there.

The community is great in this game everyone helps each other no name calling such as ''omg noob'' try it
