Best Maya Beginner Book?

I just started learning to use Maya with the Maya Learning Edition and I was wondering what is a good book for beginners to learn from?

    Sackynut - Maya is the most expensive 3d graphics program.

    I'm not an expert with Maya books, but I would stay away from them. For starters, they are rediculously over-priced in the 80 dollar range, so that's not good if your just starting. But i would suggest this for now....

    First, I would suggest you check out the Learning Maya site.

    Second, I would head over to 3D Palace , they have got some maya video tutorials. I LOVE video tutorials, but they are hard to come across, so enjoy those while you can.

    Lastly, keep a frequent interest with the CG Talk forums. You will meet alot of people interested in Maya that will share advice, tutorials, and so fourth.

    That's about all the advice I can give you, I use 3DS Max, so I hope you find somebody with a more fluent background in Maya.

    If you DO want to get a Maya book though, check out amazon.com. They will have user reviews so you can see wether they are good or if they suck.
