My friend, if you ever paid attention to a word I said I always agreed that the SWG Dev team had their heads up their nether regions and had horrid quality control.

SWG was good, and fun, despite their bungles. This one, unfortunately, was huge.

And I still say the CU was good for the game. But CU or no CU I'd have left over this change. At this point even if they removed Jedi I wouldn't come back. The only way I come back is if they remove the XP Nerf... and it would need to be before I get too involved in EVE because once I'm into a game, if I enjoy it, I don't leave till it's not fun anymore.

You use to constantly ridicule people who didnt like the CU about how it was so great and people who dont like it just dont want to adapt to it. Well now you know how it feels when the game you love has been changed for the worse.
The only difference between this and the CU is that this one pushed "your" buttons. When people felt that way about the CU you felt like it was your duty to tell them how wrong it was to feel that way. To dismiss every single issue everyone had and like a SOE tool tell us how CU was the best thing to ever happen and all everyones issues with it were stupid and petty.

Little did you realize that the message people were really telling you is, its only a matter of time before you get screwed too. Now welcome to the club.

    Elnator is right.

SOE left themselves little option due to their incompetence but to totally redo the combat system in this game.

Many of us were saying this back in beta. I was talking about it often as a correspondent. Of course, nobody was listening. They still aren't.

The CU was necessary, unfortunately. You NEVER should make a change of that degree to the basic combat system of a game after being on the market for such an extended period.

We just racked up our 20th ex SWG player to join us in Eve - and they are all amazed at how a well run company can produce a well written and stable game, that is fun, engrossing and isn't nerfed every 36hours.

One even commented that watching a dev come into game and apologise for a quick server restart because they had stuffed something up was amazing considering the lies and misinformation that is the standard SOE way of treating customers.

SWG is dead, it just hasn't had time for riga mortis to kick in.

man...don't you feel the least bit guilty recruiting for EVE in the SWG forum, especially when the SWG community is at such a low point. ::::01::

On the flip side though, it is very efficient.

    :)

How is he recruiting? He's pointing out a fact. Half my PA quit over the nerf and several of us are trying EVE. Even with the rollback supposedly scheduled for tonight I may not go back to SWG. I'd forgotten how DIFFERENT EVE is. I'm going to give it the month I just paid for, at least.

And if you keep screwing with the community, eventually you reach the point of alienating some of your finest supporters.

I said this no later than 6 months into the game when i became correspondent. I was flamed, the SWG community will never fall, SOE is the shizznitt, and so forth.

Now take a good hard look around, SOE. Look at what you've done.

Give me a ring in EVE - Ian Novarider , working for the Gallente Fed. Int. for a year now.

Well written - yes.  Stable **cough** --- mostly. Fun .. yes. Nerfed **cough** ... well, usually not every 36 hours.

    Have fun
