Well a lot of what we hear talked about is going on in many game studios and not just the ones we see as obvious scams,i am including even studios intending to release a game.

On the topic of HER "ex fiance"there is some obvious notations.

She admits to know nothing about game development and the "technical stuff" but claims these guys are not trying to scam anyone..lmao.
I have a very good gut feeling on this  and the whole angle that lead us to this point.
First of all the fact she was going to marry this chump says a lot about her and how naive she is.Secondly i feel he was trying to win her over any way he could possibly do it.So the fake claim of the ring's value and NOW he tries to come up with some quick money making scheme to win her back.

My only query was about the respected investor,HOW is that possible, well that was discussed as well and clears that up.This could damage their reputation as well down the road.
Also talked about was KS'r and how they gave this a stamp of approval again similar to the investor ...HOW is this possible?Wel ltha twas cleare u pas well and KS'r of course has rescinded the stamp o fapproval but not the actual KS'r because hey all thney care about is THEIR cut.

This game however could lead to damaging evidence that the KS'r team knowlingly allows people to be scammed of their money because all the ycare about is their cut.I hope this leads to possible legal action against KS'r and ends their reign as a HOST to scammers.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

It bobbles my mind how anyone can watch that original KS video with the cheesy and obvious emotional appeal and not think scam without needing to go any further than that into it.

It's also funny how the good streamers have become a much more valuable resource for gamers trying to separate the shit from the good than the "mainstream" gaming media. They were quick to ring the alarm bells while this site and Massively both reported it as if this were just another normal KS MMO.

That's quite the reversal in relevant games news reporting.

Agreed it is mind-boggling how they managed to raise money for this scam.

As I don't follow streamers I had not realised this, I have to give a nod to streamers there, I usually see them (far too much of a generalisation I know) as idiots who do nothing but give gaming a bad name.

However MMO sites are in a tricky position; say nothing, do an article, report as a scam. They are meant to be impartial, not to take sides on these issues. So doing an article and reporting the questionable side of this is the best way in my eyes. What is harder to judge is how many follow up articles to do. I think it would be best for new indie MMO start ups to have to show they are making something before they get another article.

If this site did an exposé featuring a developer's ex-girlfriend's comments about the game I think we would rightly call that out as not being up to the journalistic standards we expect.

A lot of streamers ARE idiots but there are a few good ones who do deep dives into relevant subjects like digging into the background of the main guy in this scam and showing how he also kickstarted that idiotic wearable blue tooth speaker and how no one from that KS has received that silly speaker and harness.

The GF video on massively was kind of cringey (although it was very easy on the eyes to watch :)) but it did provide some additional insight into the character of this scammer for anyone who still needs convincing.

People like him need to be thoroughly exposed for what they are.

Cringey is a good word to describe everything about this project. But ye, this video had extra cringe. :)
Well MMORPG has scored one on Massively then for not stooping that low. The video is full of serious concerns about that project, ex's do not make reliable statements about each other and it just smacks of pettiness.

MMORPG.com giving scam games their own forums now?

Not even going to call out these obvious frauds?

    Pathetic.
