I hope he keeps a measured response because when he speaks from his gut, he gets himself in trouble. He also likes to stretch the truth and he has been caught too many times on that. But at that time the goal was the lower expectations since players would be joining and seeing for themselves.

This time, its about trying to show how great a place they are despite the loss of their Lead Designer.

At least that's my guess based on history, but maybe you are right. If he's honest and admits losing his Lead Designer right now is a real blow then he'll get kudos for that.

We shall see.

It was the sensitive part of this community that made him the trouble, though. I personally agreed with his comment as Amazon's attitude was simply wack. Anyway, being a CEO of a gaming company doesn't exclude one from making somewhat strong statements about things from within the industry. It's the world that gets butthurt everytime someone important dares to speak up. He always could've gone full retard and write "Lol fuck Amazon". The fact that he's not scared of saying things makes him a little more...human, I guess.

In the end we just want a damn good game, innit? I just hope the departure of Jeffrey won't negatively affect the development process in the long run.

So does Jeffery actually have a new job? I can't see not getting to a never ending alpha as the biggest recommendation for his employer.

Up until this point I really didn't think much of Mr. Bard but the act of leaving his post at the 11th hour is a bold move and I feel I may have misjudged his character by A LOT.

A lead dev leaving a project that he was 50% the face of is like a high rank soldier tearing off his military insignia, throwing his gun on the ground and walking away right before battle..

When I saw this news first posted by @Kumapon the first thing I thought was with his act of leaving he was sending out a warning/message the only way he could cause he'd be under NDA + it's just bad form to do it in any other way.

Yes it could have been a job offer too good to pass up but if the game he'd worked on from the start for 4 years(?) was shaping up to be anything would anyone in his position(lead dev) walk away? Not saying it's the reason but maybe he got tired of the obvious lies and took any offer that came his way so he'd no longer have to continuously deceive people.

Man alive their streams are soooooo slow and boring.She needs to get straight to the point and not jibber jabber about how much they love each other bla bla.

"Influencer program" that alone is such a gray area of deceit.

The Dragon fight was not so good.The Tundra Dragon looks fine the scenery looks fine the ice all good but the Dragon seems to be stuck in one spot.No other creatures in view so no add ons or aggro outside that oen dragon.
I am not even a fan of this type of content because it just looks like spamfest,everyone just start spamming attacks.

I am not even sure the AI of the Dragon is any good either because well Steven didn't even know what it was.Like does the Dragon just auto spam 1of 2 different aoe attacks every minute or so or how in depth is the scripting?

The Siege battle,well it was an agreed upon "meet at the front gate"ordeal.Justy more spamunleash all your attacks and just spam each other to death.We had a glimpse of the worn out gate and it looked bad and i think Steven knew that and why he turned his camera away from seeing it.
The skin/crown is again leaning towards the part i don't like and that is the emphasis on ONE person as being SPECIAL.The whole entire guild should get a victory skin of some kind,that is if you like pvp i don't.I want Siege ideas like this with PVE npc battles.

I read the article, it does not say what job he is going to. This game does not interest me so much that I am going to check out the message that Steven made, or look up multiple sources on the off chance I might find an answer. I was rather astonished to find that you thought such a simple question was "toxic", but yes I was questioning how any new employer would see AoC as a stellar recommendation on their CV. That would all change if we saw the game come out mind you.

May I point out to you that those of us who are not as confident about AoC as you are find no need to use the language you do about other posters; declaring their "idiocy, bullshit" and so on.

Finally may I ask how much you have already put into AoC, I find that rather relevant to the position our posters take on this "cesspool of a platform".

Did he explain how the departure of the Lead Designer would impact development?  Did he give a plan to go forward?

Just wondering.  I only caught about 10 minutes and it was a video of fighting a dragon.   Graphics in the clip looked good.  Animations looked good.  There was some clipping, characters flying around but nothing out of line for an Alpha (as long as they really are targeting Winter 2023).

Why are Legendary members with decades old accounts and 13-37k posts so upset + tag team pile driving new members with 19-39 posts... think about it...

Everything I wrote in my previous post in this thread was validated less than 24 hours later... My only mistake was not noticing before that a couple other people(or alt accounts) make up the paid shill/control scheme here.

Imagine doing a job for such a long time(burnout) that you completely lose track of what you can and can't do/say to be good at it. Also imagine being so disconnected with others because posting here is just a job that someone can spell out in detail what your system/format for conduct is then less than a day later do it anyway cause you just don't care who knows anymore lol...
