They picked a nice edgy one, too...

It's the same with all fake news, though. They now use tweets as sources.

There should be tons of news about how interpid promised around 1 year to finish this game but so far nothing. Where are scam alert news?

Seems mmorpg.com likes more clicks, time spend on site instead asking right questions or stop writing about this "game".

Why would this be a concern at all in this game or the thousands prior?
It does not hurt anyone and just further proves that you buy NOTHING when comes to games,,you own NOTHING,,so all you are doing is paying them money to rent game use.

This just furthers the need for private servers since developers want to be so scummy about what CONSUMERS actually get for their money.

The laws behind gamming are just garbage, yes i get it,they need to protect their copyright but REMOVING FAIR consumer rights is NOT how you do it.When comes to gamming the consumers always gets the shaft and yet laws are SUPPOSE to be FAIR especially towards consumers but they are instead one sided towards the business.
Don't bother trying to defend these studios becausee they do not deserve it they do NOT care one iota about YOU,it is only your money they are after.

Policing the gameplay?LMAO since when has a studio EVER done any work policing the actual game?
Studios only react to something that might cost them money and if tons of people complain about something.Studios would be very happy if players never complained and asked nothing of them.

I have faith in the new mmorpg I know it is copium, it will end up being a new p2w mmorpg or with a bug and little content, but I know that I will end up playing bdo or gw2 (I like pvp for that reason I do not play ffxiv) :(

When I do a welcome on here I make a point of not quoting people who are swearing, I look for a post where they are not doing that. I think the site should take that up if they insist on quoting random social media users. But we also need to question why MMORPG.com wants to quote such randoms, it belittles articles in my eyes.

Uhmm.. I would need a quotation on that because not even during the Kickstarter they made any claims like that.
I really doubt they would ever say 1 year to finish in any period of its development so far

An estimate is not a promise or guarantee. That being i did notice the staff headshots are all eerily similar except for the community manager

Check videos from before...i dont have time to search it. But making mmorpg with all things they promised and give "estimation" 1 year is scammy as sh1t.

Other thing, if you look what they done in those years like:

    Several small places of map
    10+ monsters
    10+ costumes
    4+ mounts?
2 classes (max lvl 10 skill)
    1 siege video

Its makes star citizen fcking AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA game.

True, but estimates are sometimes lies which seems to hold true for many crowd funded MMORPGS.

Has there ever been an online game that let you legally sell your account? I thought it was against ToS in pretty much every mmorpg dating back to like Everyquest or something.

do note the visual NDA is still in place for sharing screenshots and footage

Well that's certainly not true since many Twitch streamers were given a key to stream the game on Twitch and showcase the game this weekend.

Eve maybe? Well maybe account or characters, but think they have places to sell to others for their isk or other ways that people were funding multiple accounts. Character bazar or something like that.

But it has been years ago that I stopped playing Eve and reading closely what they were doing. Not that I think that was a bad thing. I think that game companies should all take control of the gold/character selling markets as much as possible in their own games.

All those grey markets of things sold in games should be working for the dev's of said games and then the dev's control selling to their customers as much as possible.

Not like it will ever stop happening in games that people look for ways to get ahead with less time put in. So the ones that made the games should be making the cash, and setting the rules. Stop acting like it will not, and does not, happen.
