   Aight time for another game gifting by Scorch ..

    I really have enjoyed my time testing New World , and i believe it has a real chance to carve out a nice spot in the MMO world a beautiful immersive world with top notch crafting and gathering , The FvF warfare and territory control is well done and engaging , i do have 1 complaint and have hopes the make the combat a bit more engaging and fun ..

      So, im going to give away 2 copies thru Steam ...   a couple rules as usual

     1. You must have 250 posts here at MMORPG to be eligible , you must tell us why you are looking forward to NW

     2. you will need to DM me your Steam name ( if you win) so i can friend you and gift the game ... Will unfriend immediately after ..

     3. I usually ask Susie or a neutral party to select the winners to be fair ,, Maybe Mike B. will do this for us ...

For some reason I'm hesitant to enter. Probably don't wanna be the first one. But here goes, my entry and why? I don't really have a reason otherwise than: I love mmorpgs and playing a healer seems fun! They add more and more PvE, played a bit in the beta (lvl 8 or something) looking forward for dungeons and want to try pvp.

Bump, I too would like a free game but I think Dattelis should be considered regardless of his post count, he is proof not all are making throw away accounts to get free keys from mmorpg.com.

So if no one else asks I cast votes for Dattelis and Dragnelus.

Didn't see this post until people bumped it haha. Surprising few people tried to participate. 

I was honestly going to buy it but the game got delayed again. Hopefully they iron out the issues and there won't be more delays. I love how much content they added in such a short timespan and hope they keep on pushing their limits in the future.

I didn't understand exactly how to enter this giveaway but me and my friends are going to try the game for sure so wouldn't mind getting it haha. I understand if others might need it more than me so up to you.

It's absolutely a great thing you're doing here, @Scorchien.  I applaud you for doing this, but seem to have only 2 entries thus far.

I have absolutely no interest in New World.  It's just too much built around the PvP concepts for my tastes.

Honestly, I'm a purely PVE guy so I can understand your point of view. However, while this game inevitably leads to PVP in endgame, there's plenty of PVE content that is being added (to this date) to keep the other playstyles happy.

Also, they understood the consequences of having unrestricted open world pvp. Since it's a toggle feature now, anyone can play the game without being restricted. Hell, I wouldn't be opposed to pvp if it was faction based. However, archeage really made me a paranoid player since even your own faction could betray your trust.

I can only name 2 mmos that I'm looking forward: New World and Blue Protocol. One is close to release (cross fingers), the other we have no clue when it will come to EU/US.

    This one has me a bit perplexed , as to so little entries , there are usually a lot .

  Not sure if its , many folks that want New World already have it

  Or if the interest in it is not as strong as many anticipate .

 Or .. has the the traffic on this site deteriorated  soo  much .  .. and also soo many bans .. ..  Or a combination of all 3 .. *shrug*

   But im looking forward to New World , tested enough that it has my interest , so i try to support ..

   Got my eye on another give away for early fall ..  of a different game .. so stay tuned

Probably a combination of all things mentioned, and the post count requirement which stops bots and new accounts from flooding the thread.

Probably just timing, IMO. Just before the beta and again next month just before release and you would have been flooded with entries.

I got over 700 post and my freind got a chance to play the game, and he liked it alot. So now i want to game with him, Thats my 2 cents

I can say I was not very interested in the game when I heard it was pvp action combat.  I know they are making more PvE content so it might interest me.  The thing is I have a rule that I don’t buy games at release and always wait a few weeks to months before I buy them. This is entirely because I want to be an educated consumer who speaks with their wallet.   

As I have always done this I have never actual played a game on launch day.  Kind of a shame as I have heard that opening days in MMOs are the best.  So that is why I would be excited to get a free copy.  I can have my cake and eat it to.

I have already bought a copy for my son and myself as we often play games as a father son bonding thing, along with mountain hiking/reg hiking and going to local park concerts etc.

However I didn't buy a copy for my wife as she doesn't play games as much anymore and money is a bit tight...that said I met her in a video game and she visited/moved from the UK to Canada and never left...LOL

Which is why I am entering this....my son and I were lucky enough to get beta keys from a twitch streamer and we both really enjoyed playing the game.

We liked the immersion and look of the world...hell I even enjoyed running from place to place (we didn't fast travel) and enjoyed the exploration.  We also, maybe more me tbh, enjoyed the combat and how it's not twitch based and not carpel tunnel inducing spammy!

I also like how we can partake in, you never know pvp, BUT on your own terms by being able to toggle it on or off in towns! 

Also looking forward to learning more about the crafting and housing as that's something we purposely didn't get into. Same thing for dungeons and region control pvp!

I think it's a game my wife would enjoy playing with us so if I win it will go to her steam account!

As an aside for some reason I think this thread didn't get much views, thus much participation, as I visit these forums at least once a day and this is the first I see of this thread.

I would have bought it as well, but since it got delayed yet again I am waiting. At the moment, I'm trying not to overspend as I'm saving for my computer upgrade. Now that I graduated, I can finally work full time and not cut corners on what to choose for upgrades.

Still won't buy a GPU at these prices, but my GTX1080 is good enough for the current games hehe.

I know people like to make fun of Dark Souls 2, but its honestly my favourite overall of the series. Dark Souls 1 is great too, but there's a nostalgia factor since its the first game I played of the series. The third was my least favourite and honestly the fast twitchiness of it was not a direction I liked.

Just for clarity, I don't own a playstation so never tried Demon Souls and Blood Borne. I really want to try them out, but can't justify buying a console for 2-3 games.
