Punchline:  we are still screwed and cannot fix it yet.

New bugs have been discovered since taking down AH... you can literally dupe your gold/items from your own storage.

Many were inconvenienced by requiring another account/player to aid in duping... so they added this customer service feature. :D

KiraTV did do some digging on the engine they used, which is pretty interesting if true and can lead to a half-truth of AGS saying that the client isn't 'client-side authoritative' (to put it simply, the lumberyard engine was reformed from another engine that was client-side authoritative, so some elements weren't completely redone before they worked on the game, thus some of the issues we see now). I dont blame the developers on this though since, like the Anthem devs, they had to do the best they could with what they were given, so kudos to them.

The exploiting of weapon bugs is a far greater issue than the dupers TBH... They need to immediately disable Wars until its fixed.

You are correct!  You could say disable all gear progression as well... 80% damage migration and 300% damage boost... machine gun abilities... in PvE and PvP.

Grinding for better gear (gearscore) is one of the main end game activities... not hard to destroy everything in sight (elites, raid bosses, etc) when skills are bugged.

Let's not forget one of the dungeon bosses can be exploited where you can respawn endlessly without leaving the dungeon... improving your gear score very fast.

PvP, PvE, Crafting, and Economy is all FUBAR.

The fire has spread to every room in the house... Devs heads must be exploding right now.  Time to take down the servers.

Patch launched... main dupe method not fixed, slightly harder to do (in the same exact method).

You develop a MMORPG change its direction from open world PvP, bolt on quests and then you decide transfers will solve all the overcrowding issues. What could possibly go wrong?

I see gaming journalists as slow to call this out from the start and all to eager to call it out when it has gone demonstrably wrong. That said they will push through this and sort the game out, hopefully they don't make any more missteps like starting the transfers which quite predictably is causing a host of problems.

I would ask posters to consider how much of what has gone wrong is due to the age of gaming we now live in. Front loaded titles which spend years in early access is not a good template for a MMO, but that's where we are now, this is the NW early access.

Put stuff in storage, sell the same item on market, keep turning the items in on town board without the item being removed from storage. Game is working fine.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

They have the influx money, for all we know the giant population is some kind of massive liability now considering its B2P. The cash shop whales wont quit.

It's generally good form for journalists to wait until something goes demonstrably wrong before reporting how wrong it went. As I recall the shift in direction was mentioned and that it was potentially concerning.

Posters should also consider that Amazon has abundant resources such that they shouldn't be pressed to release NW in a sorry state to recoup investment costs as quickly as possible. A company of that size shouldn't need to early access a game at all.

Well I pointed out the problems transfers would cause right from the beginning purely based on what I had seen and heard about before. I think it would have been fair for them to say something like "the history of transfers solving such problems quickly is checkered at best". I do think journalism has prediction at its heart, otherwise it is just he said/she said, which is hardly enlightening.

I agree with you though about the fact I don't see them wanting to recoup investment asap, they are in for the long haul and revenue wise the game has done well out of the trap. But I think EA is now part of the way developers think, which is not a good thing.
