tabula rasa-where?

With EA announcing the release of Ultima X I kind of got thinking of the man that had this vision of a follow up in the MMO to UO(yeah i know they said it is not a sequel).

That man been Richard "lord british" Garriott.

After the infamous bonfire of UO2 and the quick exit from the UO scene, he went to help develop  a MMO game called tabula rasa.

Then nothing heard again.Latest edition of PCzone mentions he is still working on the prject so I would imagaine 2 years down the line the prject has gone far but I can't find any website for it even.

I am intrested to see what tis chap produced because he is a man of vision when it comes to RPG.

Many of you might not remember ultima VII back in 1992 which completely revolutionized the PC RPG and of course in 1997 the game that made MMORPG so popular .

He created both games.

He also had the vision in late 1998 to make a complete rehaul of the graphics of UO( believe or not he is a chap that likes eye candy-ultima VII was best graphics in town back then) to a 3D look but was beaten down by new owners EA.

He was making the best looking MMORPG out there as of its time and was ready for beta test in early 2001 but was again canned by the owners.

Strange that EA is doing exactly what he wanted  to do but just a few years late!

3D UO is now here but not in 1999  like it would have been but 2002! Looks like a joke now.

UO follow up was meant for 2001 it the days it had been neck to neck with EQ  and with no real competition for it.Now they plan a release of a game they take so much pain to tell us has nothing to do with UO.

I sense the pointing fingers saying "haha!Richard already made one for you guys to can just before beta. Now you have to convince the gamers why your product will be a better buy then the 1000000 other MMORPG coming out in 2004.

Well if anyone has a site for tabula rasa please post it.
