This article is barely out and they are thinking about a Winter Festival idea, who wants to take my money on a bet that Xmas presents will get duplicated and Santa will be taking them back? They really need to prioritize stability and bug free polish, a Winter Festival will just give the gaming media another drama article when something, even something quite minor goes wrong.
While I have never had any interest in the game I always hoped it would do well. It's always good to have more games to choose from. After watching this comedy of errors, and the sheer incompetence shown by the devs, I'm glad I never bothered with it.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

I haven't written off yet from one day giving it a try, but it definitely validated my practice of no longer playing these games until a year or so post launch so they can properly bake first.

This what happens when you coding isn't being done correctly. You use function B to fix function A just to later realize your function B isn't cutting it. Then you change function B just to realize now your function A isn't working. Instead of doing this with just 2 function they are dealing with 10 functions. They fix one thing while not being correctly aware how will that affect another function.
As predicted by many, New World will end up in ruins rather quickly. Amazon was very smart to buy publishing rights for Lost Ark.
Soon they will have no more steady income from New World and dare I say it, they might even shut down the servers in few months or years unless they turn things around.
what makes you think they can handle lost ark ? there is gonna be exploits , server issues and what nots in lost ark . the time it will take to communicate the issues from amazon to lost ark development team will create even more mess . just wait till the circus starts .
Because it is the Smilegate who will be fully doing hotfixes and entire development of the NA/EU client, not Amazon
Game is out for 3 years and doing great so we will not see many gamebreaking bugs and exploits on weekly basis, if any.
Smilegate is doing awesome job with Lost Ark so I am sure they will want to do even better with NA/EU. Also, Amazon team that is looking after Lost Ark is also mostly different to the New World one.
IM sorry, i wasted enough time on this game now, all buddeis spred out at first, then merges, that fail, then economy shutdown, then the whole EU shutdown 2+ days all friends a gone, gfull servers a low now, our guild has less than 33 ppl, we rocked full shit at launch, its over for me, all others stopped. sorry new world, ill look for a new world, maybe ashes, much love

I burned 670+ hrs trying to give this game the most fair shot possible, but after doing so I can safely say that given the opportunity I would roll the clock back and invest every single hour into another game. Save your money and close your wallet.

Say what you will FO 76 definitely worked better than NW, and is an example of a team who did a solid turn around except to this day duping still is a thing and I expect NW to also continually suffer from it.

i dont see the mmorpg genre redeeming itsef anytime soon .there are some good ideas coming out but all of them are wasted by either greed or outright incompetence .

Actually, I (and others) think it's because some EU Countries write decimal numbers like: 100,01. While most other nations write it 100.01.
However, since the game is NA-based in code. That 100,01 gets read as 10001 or 10,001.
This lines up with the bug reports of people stating they were given "x10" of the amount owed to them (ie 210000g instead of 2100g; because it was written as 2100,00g).
