Getting NFT drops while playing a game on a Samsung TV is not what this article is about. It never says anything like that.
"The upcoming platform will enable viewers to browse and also trade NFTs without leaving the couch."
Basically, a marketplace browser that lets you buy, sell, and trade NFT's using the TV's software. Nothing about playing a game.
"You get a drop while playing your game on a samsung,"
Lying about something brings on accusations of scamming.
Ummm... The use case was pretty obvious to me.
Nowhere in the article does it even mention a game, except that Samsung is looking to invest in some. What this article is highlighting is a NFT market browser.
When you lie about something, it lowers your credibility a lot.
You do NOT, repeat NOT, get a NFT for playing a game on a Samsung TV.

oooooh i see. How that could be mistaken now.
"You get a drop while playing your game on a samsung" I did not say "FOR" though I said playing "YOUR" game as in any game that has NFTs.
That being said! I bet they do introduce things like "whatch all episodes of Arcane and get a Jinx NFT"

Wow.... bloody brilliant!
"You get a drop while playing your game on a samsung" and then you reference an article that says nothing like that. Samsung is putting a NFT browser as an app on the smart TV.
Representing it as one thing, when it is really something else, is why many of us are so skeptical about this whole topic.

Ok I gave you the benifit of the doubt. If you can't understand why what I said is obviously true, I'm not sure what you've been reading here.
1 - They build a NFT platform for use with their smart TV 2 - A gamer plays a game. They get an NFT while playing that game. 3- They then click a button and list their NFT on the Samsung Market Place.
I'm have a hard time understanding why you have a problem with this or preceive my statement as misleading.
If I said that a person could buy an NFT from the market place and use the TV as a big picture frame that would be true too.
edit - to add to that they speak of their investments in Metaverse games.

The thing is Opeli, Bcbully is right in the long run because Samsung will eventfully do this. The shifts we are seeing all over entertainment in various areas, not just NFT's never come to a conclusion. There is always another step and I recon what he is suggesting will be the next step we hear about.
If this is related to gaming we should ask Chris to do a hardware review of his favorite socks to wear while playing.

Yes, I understand. He is selling a possible, even probable, future by apparently claiming it is here now. That is basically my whole problem with this topic.
Maybe my problem is that I'm a chip engineer, and when someone says "you can do X" with the chip, it has to be true. It isn't good enough that maybe, probably, in the future the chip can do X. We cannot sell a chip claiming it runs at Y speed, when it doesn't. Saying that we're right in the end and maybe next year it will run at Y speed doesn't cut it. You'd get fired for that.
So when people do that, my "flag" goes up. It's either a salesman or a marketer, making false claims and trying to sell you something.

Ok, I guess I misunderstood then. It appeared to me that you were saying "play a game on a Samsung and you get an NFT drop", which of course isn't true.
Other similar misunderstandings:
"You get a sandwich while you ride our train", when you don't get a sandwich.
"You get a prize while banking with us", and there is no prize.
"You earn more money while working for us" and you don't.
"You get rich while playing a game on our chip". etc, etc.
The correct format is "IF you get an NFT drop while playing on a Samsung TV ...".

Forgive me. Once samsung builds the market place for their tv...
My plan is to become a crotchety old "get off my lawn" guy as I get older. How am I doing?
Full disclosure, to let you know you're nose aint failing you My first statement is true.
Later on though, without too much thought put behind it I said, "playing"YOUR" game as in any game that has NFTs".
That statement would be false, or at best maybe in the future. Games that do not share the chain that samsung uses would have a much harder time getting NFTs to the samsung market place, if they would be able to att all. Bridging would need to be done no matter what.
Thus far nearly all metaverse games are ethereum native. It would stand to reason they would use an existing layer 2 like Polygon, Arbitrum, or Optimisim for the purposes of fast low cost transactions. They could also build their own sidechain on top of Ethereum.

Mods need to do their job and close this spam thread when there is already active threads on NFTs related to MMOs. Not clicking or replying to these dumb threads anymore.

This thread should definitely not be in the Pub, but maybe telling the mods that rather than trying to ban posters is the way to go? Threads do get transferred to other forum headings so that's surely the way to go.

Judging from the lack of response in other threads to reports I've made recently I am starting to wonder if the moderators have left the building.
They've been letting some pretty ridiculous threads run for way longer than I would have ever expected.

I don't mind that as long as we don't have people just shouting at each other for pages and pages. Or posters are not flagrantly breaking the forum rules for page after page. But shutting a thread down after people have vented is my preferred way of censoring yes. I guess they may have gone on holiday, is that allowed?
