I want them to turn things around, I really do, but I may have lost hope that they can. We are still talking about game-breaking bugs that have been around since early alpha. Too much of this game's code is managed client side. That's the issue behind most of the major bugs and exploits. I'm no developer, but it seems that fixing this stuff for good would require more than just the (now routine) exercise of shutting various key game features off.
I don't get how they can have the gold duping bug appear so many times, is it something internal that can't be fixed? Or are new exploits happening over and over?
I feel like for how much money they have in this game they need to have a larger team dedicated to fixing these bugs as a lot of the people I know quit because of exploits.

After the last issue, devs said it was new exploit methods.
However, it does seem like not enough testing was done beforehand, if gold can be duped so many ways.
There are at least three working dupe methods currently present in the game, two of them have existed since Alpha and another is the result of a recent update.
If you search cheat forums, bulletin boards, etc...you will never find any info on any of the methods. What you will find, generally, is lots of people theorizing about how these methods work or have worked in the past.
Discord is the medium of choice for sharing that type of information discretely these days and the people running these Discord servers don't just let anyone in. If any info does happen to leak from a Discord server, the owners can just shut the server down and start fresh under new identities.

It's unfortunate that the game was so haphazardly developed, but it was, and as a result of that inexperience and a lack of fundamental knowledge on the part of the dev team New World was brought into existence with critical flaws that cannot be easily or quickly corrected.
Problem is this is a disaster of biblical proportions because its not a good game suffering teething troubles, its a very pretty game with poor combat, locked out wars, and nothing to do and even grinding seems like a bad idea as they keep changing their minds on how they are going to nerf you.
Also the lore is TERRIBLE, theres nothing that piques your interest let alone retains it, its all just the same, outside of a complete rebuild theres nothing to save this game
