Of course they disappear like farts in the wind when there is nothing to defend.
I told him back then that he would look like a clown, mocking the ‘90 days tops’ statement while defending his own Q3 beta date. That he still responds at all every now and then is a miracle, all his bold statements have turned into nothing really over the years.
/Cheers, Lahnmir
It's crazy that this guy has a rep where ever I read a news articles about Star Citizen, this Joe Blober guy is in the comment's and all the regulars know about him. This guy is the whitest of white knights.
Moving things around =?
Moved money from sale of nonexistant ships account to offshore account.
Moved launch date another 2 years.
Moved family member into luxury apartment.
Moved focus from mismanaged project to shiny new promo video.
Maybe a list of promised features along with the initial promised date and the actual delivery date would be informative.
Nobody wants you to know or understand anything or to act rationally. Instead they want you to feel, believe, and react to their incitement and agitation.
Whatever the end result of this project(s), I think it has to happen this way for some people invested in it. It can be akin to the 'you never know until you try' mantra some live by, so as long as they know they did and see it through to whatever end, they might be satisfied whether the result is good or bad. Kind of like asking your crush out and getting rejected (in terms of mental value). I can definitely under the counter that some people have though since this kind of brings out a lot of bad actors to capitalize on some people's desires.
Remember the Derek Smart phase? remember the new york times write up? Remember when their financials got released during the Crytek Gmbh law suit? Guess what, they are still on top Everyone acts like the sky is falling for star citizen, its not, and if the backers werent happy, they would stop backing. Go play your decade old MMO final fantasy w/e and let us have our endless beta that we enjoy.

On top of... The list of least efficiently developed video games ever?
On top of... The list of most expensive crowdfunded projects that will never get completed?
On top of... The list of most money ever wasted by a group of gamers ever?
Not sure what other list they'd be on top of lol. They've yet to do anything noteworthy other than skim cash from folks in the extreme.

Marketing does not equal development.
And it's not a beta, at least not by regular useage of the term. It's Alpha as a Service. It's good you enjoy it, 'cause I am sure it will continue like that for quite a while.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
Racism will not be tolerated here... dear Big Cracker!!
Just joking, I enjoy Dave Chappelle and others(Richard Pryor, Chris Rock, Kevin Hart.. etc. )... even if most jokes are aimed at my heritage (and I disagree many times). I will defend my heritage, but satire and comedy create great discourse.
So, Star Citizen had and old, card-based roadmap.
They built a new "progress tracker" roadmap.
Now they're removing the full year of objective cards from the old roadmap, sticking to just the cards from next quarter patch. But the new roadmap is still fully funcional.
Can someone explain me the part of "Star Citizen Will Scrap Long-Term Public Roadmap" from the artitle title, or is it just clickbait?

You can actually smell the copium wafting off the faithful's posts.
I'm seeing some of the same excuses people were using to justify this mess almost a decade ago.
The question "when will these people snap out of it?" has long since passed the "stupid question" category, because the answer for many of them is obviously "never". 20 years from now, they'll still be using the same "logic" to rationalize their "investment", insisting everyone else just "doesn't understand how game development works".

It's fairly elementary: next quarter isn't long-term.

Fin!
You have the new progress tracker roadmap thas still is long term.
Regardless, the title references a real change being made. You can't make article titles full paragraphs, some detail has to be left for the article itself.

O shit he got me. I should probably install No Man's Sky. Since everyone keeps telling the SC backers its the same thing. Maybe I could go play EVE because you probably think they are the same too? What other game is like SC that I should be playing right now instead of SC while it progresses to the finish line?
