Ruckus about closing the existing servers to the creation of new characters
This is to alleviate the queues but many people have guild mates who intend to play tomorrow and will not be able to make any characters on the servers that are closed to the creation of new characters of accounts that don't already have an existing character on that server.
They are however closing it now and not tomorrow. So people rushed to buy a pack but are too late to join. The forums are wailing in anger and frustration but increasing the queues is not good either as it is obviously terrible if they become 10 hours and above tomorrow. Nobody has patience for that but many people are angry about their friends being cut off from joining them. Case of damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Apparently Smilegate does not do server transfers so any hope that the existing players can transfer off has been dashed. It is quite a conundrum.
We definitely hear and understand the requests for a server transfer feature, and agree it is extremely important. However, as the feature does not currently permanently exist in any version of Lost Ark, this is not something we have the ability to implement immediately and will have to work through possibilities for with Smilegate RPG.

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
Founder’s Pack Redemptions
Players have let us know one of the reasons they are reluctant to switch to lower population servers is because many of them have already redeemed their Founder’s Packs on another server. To help combat this and make exploring new servers a more reasonable choice, we will be granting ALL Founder’s Pack purchasers that redeem their pack by 12 PM PT (8 PM UTC) on Monday, February 14th with an extra set of the exclusive items from the Founder’s Pack they redeemed (e.g., the Founder’s Exclusive Pet and Founder’s Title from the Bronze pack; see full list below) as well as some additional Royal Crystals for Silver, Gold, and Platinum Pack purchasers. These items will not be tradeable, and will be delivered to a player’s Product Inventory so they can be claimed on a new server. Your original Founder’s Pack will not be affected by this, and will remain on the initial server where you redeemed it (or in your Product Inventory, if you have not yet redeemed it).

I haven't redeemed my Platinum pack and probably won't before Monday, as it sounds like the unique cosmetic and more importantly, the 7K crystals won't be fully compensated on the new server.
It will be painful enough to leave behind the progression I already have made on my own, but I can live with it as I didn't put much effort in yet. (Still only level 14)
What would be better is if they gave the same new compensation to package buyers who voluntary transfer whether or not they previously claimed their package bonuses.
For those who think this might be unfair, recall I have been basically playing as a freep with the only package benefits
being the headstart so no fancy cat pet, I just got a rabbit, a plain black horse (pretty nice looking though) and am wearing a murder hobo hodgepodge of dropped gear which I'll leave behind if I transfer.

There are three factors that make the process worse; they decide they have to do it in a hurry, they decide to close and open servers at the same time and finally they decide to do transfers at the same time. Well at least they are not doing transfers, I know that bites for players but this is going to potentiality cause a host of issues as it is.
I'm happy people are having fun with this game but I'm starting to think the publisher may not be very good at publishing...
