Fortunately we know this will turn out well since developers never lie or go back on their promises.

I mean, it is alright to be skeptical, but don't just assume a new development studio with no track record of scummy monetization is just straight up lying about what they are planning.
I would prefer studios not make promises they may not be able to keep as the future is always a great unknown.

Sure, fine to say what the monetization model will be at launch, but most devs imply it won't ever change which leads gamers to become disenchanted when it inevitably does.

SQENIX is probably the studio who has stayed the most true to their initial promises but very few others in the past 15 years or so.

Community mechanics are more designed into games rather than being a direct product of their monetization models.

Sure the throw away aspect in F2P draws more assholes, cheaters and spammers, but not like those groups aren't well represented in a sub only or B2P game.

Solo centric designs lead to less socialization and community, greater interdependence and cooperation leads to more.

Monetisation models, however, set the limits of community mechanics.
