Thinking of buying this game (yes another one pls help)

Hey all iv not long posted on the swg board saying i was looking into getting a new game i got alot of info back from there about that game and this is another one i would like some info on, i am a huge FF fan anyways so that also makes the game more favorable, could anyone tell me the good points and bad points about the game.

Basically all i want to know is.

• What server is best for a UK player to join.
• Is the situation on getting groups as bad as people say.
• How does this world pass thing work its kinda confusing to me when reading about it on the main website, if anyone could explain this well i would appriciate it.
• Is the population big or does the game have alot of ghost towns.
• Finally are the item prices as bad as that of say Lineage 2.

• From a technical standpoint, all the servers are equal; they're all in Japan. There might be servers that by the natural variation of player population are more UK friendly, but I don't know which ones those might be. The difference probably isn't all that great.
• Well, that depends on what people say, doesn't it? :-) It appears to be somewhat dependent on what job you're playing. I have had few problems so far (I've been playing a few months and am currently level 26), but I'm a Red Mage; mages can have fewer problems getting parties. One good thing is that the play system more or less requires players to go back and level new jobs, so newbies are always finding vets who are levelling new jobs to party with at their level.
• OK. Deep breath. A player who already has a character in the game can have his character buy a Worldpass for his world at a special NPC vendor. He gets a Worldpass code. Other people can then use that worldpass code to specify that a character they are creating be created on that world. The Worldpass is good for five uses and expires at the end of a week. It is fairly cheap in game terms. Note that the way the system works means that the only way to get a WorldPass is to persuade somebody *already on that world* to buy you a Worldpass, and that Worldpasses only work for creating new characters. Gold Worldpasses are like regular Worldpasses except a) they're only good for one use b) they can only be used by someone creating his first character and c) both the player who bought it and the player who used it get special in-game items, provided that both characters stay in the game for certain lengths of time after the Worldpass is used (the first special items are received 40 days after the Gold Worldpass is used).
• The population is big. The major cities on each server regularly have a few hundred players in them. Lower Jeuno on each server regularly has a few hundred players in it all by itself (the lag can get pretty intense there, sometimes). Each server always has a few *thousand* people currently playing on it at any given time.
• Never played Lineage II, so it's tough for me to say. But based on what I've heard, no, I don't think so. A high-level player can obtain one of the most expensive items with a few months of hard work and careful saving, without having to actually devote himself 24/7 to playing the game.

Well.. They select a server for you to join it depends what job you are to get a party quick if your a white mage then thats a quick party samurai like me takes atleast 30 minutes lol worldpass is you buy it for around 3k then you use the code to go to any server the population is big probably no ghost town unless theres a shitload of monsters in it
well.. The items depends if you get a +1 or +2 it costs alot and it maters the level or how rare it is you can find almost all items in Jeuno PS I havnt played like in 4 months or so.. Hope my characters arent deleted
