Question about COV beta

1-did they start the beta yet?? and right now its only for the long timers then they will invite the pre-orders? cause i pre-ordered the game and just wondering when will i get the invitation.

2-is this game a tottaly diffrent game?? like villans will only be able to fight villans. or will they combine it with COH and it will be like horde vs allience in WoW?? if its not like horde vs allience, i think thats kinda retarded.

this will be a stand alone game ni that you won't have to have CoH already to play CoV.  Villains will fight 'heroes' like we fight the NPC villains in CoH... and you'll complete missions just like CoH.  They are supposed to have set 'areas' (like PvP arenas I guess?) where villains and heroes can fight each other.  I'm not certain if that part will be in the Beta tho.  We'll have to see

CoV is a stand alone game, but if you also have CoH you get extra stuff. PvP will occur in 4 zones that will open at CoV release.  The PvP will be tested in Beta. The 4 zones will have more content than just PvP so it will need testing.  Group bases are coming with CoV and CoH players that want a base will need CoV to access them.

CoV looks kool and all but i think thats a bit retarded, they could have just expanded the game and now we have 2 diffrent games, one that doesnt have much content(coh) and 1 we hope will have crap load of content(cov). but thats stupid no? sopose you like all this new content and you wish it was in coh? so people who dont wana switch to being a villan will be stuck with coh that has no content????

are they gonna even add anything to COH when COV comes out?? it should be ok if they made zones where both COH and COV players can enter and fight each other or even do quests or even have kool events where you have to team up with villans to stop this ultimate villan. kinda like magneto teaming up with the x-men or like spiderman and doc oc. Events like that would be soooo kool.

too bad for the people who dont have coh cause they will have to buy both games if they are to really love the full potential of the game.

thats cool tho. can explore paragon city in COV, will probably get ganged like hell tho lmao. but when COV comes out omg....i really really really hope they make alot of events that involve both cov and coh players playing together to stop a super NPC boss or something.

Yes you will have to pay for CoV to get it but not subscribe, if you already subscribe to CoH then you will be covered for CoV too so its a 2 for 1 type thing, also the beta has started, and the long timers are first to test. Eventually they'll add the E3 guys and the people who preordered but that wont be until they get a fairly efficent and stable client. You can also look at this as an expansion for CoH as it will unlock new archetypes and stuff for CoH from what i read correctly

now i dont regret pre-ordering it. saw some of the ign vids. what they explained sounds so kool to me. with all the new stuff....this game will definetly be a blast.

I pre-ordered CoH and played from pre-order Beta through for a bit less than a  year... had a maxed out Dev blaster... It was a very fun game.

On the basis of that I have pre-ordered CoV.

They got it all pretty right once... Im sure they can do even better this time..
