EverQuest II TLE Varsoon (the closest to an EQ2 classic)

I was wondering if anyone from this community is also playing EQ2 on the new TLE server 'Varsoon'?
I don't remember the last time I've had so much fun in an MMORPG. Server is full of people and even a month in I can still always find enough players for low level dungeon groups, even as a EU player. Just wanted to give this a little more attention since the site doesn't seem to have any interest in this.

For those that don't know what a TLE server is. TLE is for time locked expansion. It is the closest to an EQ2 classic server we can get.
Since the devs no longer have access to the original files it is unfortunately not possible to recreate a true EQ2 classic so what they did instead are those TLE servers where expansions are locked and will be unlocked every 4 months (with the one exception being 'Desert of Flames' only lasting 3 months).

What you get is a lot of nostalgia mixed with some modern conveniences like for example directly choosing your class in the character creation and not your base class, subclass etc. as it was back in the day. No groupfinder, so you have to communicate a lot. People are very chatty and friendly. Almost every dungeon run I make new friends from all over the world. People have  reputations, you start to recognize names etc. etc.

If you are fed up with modern MMORPGs this might be worth checking even for new players that didn't play EQ2 back in the day and there are lots of new players on Varsoon.

Anyways I hope I've got at least a few people interested in trying out Varsoon. For more information you can check out the EQ2 Varsoon FAQ and there is an official EQ2 Discord server that is quite active with lots of helpful people.

I am a scizo misanthrope. So one day I may go BANZAI on your post.
Have not yet though. Maybe there is hope?
Nah there is really none for me or the human race.

Ahh sounds marvellous. I do love what you're saying about the atmosphere and the way people are interacting. This is what I always loved about Everquest 1 and 2.
