Chris Metzen has come home to Warcraft. Blizzard announced that Metzen, one of the original leads on the Warcraft franchise, will return as Creative Advisor to the franchise, starting with work on World of Warcraft.

DF is one of the most soulless expansion i've ever played. Plus, it has zero new content. It will go down faster than Shadowlands.
Ion managed to release 3 expansions in a raw as the worst expansions in WoW history. Whoever kept Ion this long needs to also be fired.
WHO the heck keeps a person this long when all the data shows that he's action have directly impacted the subs, revenue, etc?! If it wasn't for Classic, TBC, WoTLK it would of been very bad for Blizzard.

IDK. I have heard the opposite from Youtubers I listen to. That the expansion is great because of the content that is there. Its perfect for leveling alts and doesn't make you do stupid tasks over and over again for hours and hours that lead to nothing because none of it will carry over the the next expansion anyway.
this is the literal opposite of what most people have been saying. the general consensus is that this has been one of their better expansions
If that were true, they wouldn't be bringing back Metzen. Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.
I bet those people are also then ones who enjoyed previous garbage expansions. What matters is the opinion of people who played good expansions like WotlK. If you have people with low quality bar then it is obvious that they enjoy DF. If previous expansion score was -24 and DF is -5, then obviously it is better, but it is only better as long as you compared it to worse expansion.
I played WoW hardcore for roughly 10 years then sporadically after that. Played each of the expansions for at least a little bit on their release. DF is fun, respects my time, it's easy to gear, easy to gear alts, etc. It's the first time in a LONG time in any MMO that I've felt like it's not a burden to login to do daily chores. I just don't feel obligated to do them in order to keep up.

Yup, and if I ask every each of you ( same as I did in BfA and Shadowlands ) to tell me what exactly makes it one of the best expansion, you will all say "there are are lots of things do to in this expansion". I will then say again to be more specific ..but you will fail to tell me what exactly makes it one of THE best ..
Listen, I'm all for a good expansion, but there is literally, and I mean literally, zero new content in DF. Legion had Artefacts, Legendaries, World Quests, M+ for the very first time.
Even BfA had War Fronts and Island Expeditions as new content. Shadowlands had The Maw and Torghas. Yes, the last 2 were a big fail because how this new content was "polished" , but DF, again, has literally zero content. None. World Quests , this time updated once a week lol, and M+ and Raids. This are.. the norm since Vanilla.
Half the dungeons are weak from my POV. Shadowlands had better. The story ( sorry, "story" ) , is astonishing weak. I have no idea who dragon is X or Y or why the centaurs are there. I leveled from 60-70 in .... 10 or less hours? with basically barely put foot on land. I could not connect to any new zone, npc, or ..alike. I don't care about the new zones, which is sad in a MMO or in an expansion.
It will 100% go down faster then Shadowlands.

So yeah, that doesn't sell the "it's as good as Legion" narrative.
Most people I talk to who play it, love it. I am one of them. There will always be people unhappy, I guess your one of them.
For the ppl who dont like it, cool...there are thousands of games out there, go play something else, tried lots of games people loved and I didnt care for or get why they liked them, and guess what? I didnt spend 1 second on forums for the game to tell others how bad the game was and that they sucked becuase I dont like the game and I am great and above them in some manner.

That's pretty funny. Microsoft is killing their reputation? Microsoft?? I'm pretty sure all that business about sexual harassment, crunch time, Diablo Immortal, etc had nothing to do with Microsoft.
