Gamigo is offering both new and returning Rift players a 15-day free upgrade to Patron status, with a number of bonuses. There are also some server events for even more boosts.

    Gamigo, please just sell off Rift to a company that will actually DEVELOP the game......what NEW content have you added to the game since you bought it? Don't worry, I'll wait for you to look back to find the answer.

    Although I never played Rift - if they kept up with and did regular updates (literally they even missed the anniversaries) this could have had a nice resurgence like LOTRO/DDO. The completely poor management is unbelievable, they couldn’t find even one person to update a website or make an event is upsurd when single developer teams are doing more. I will never play a Trion worlds or gamigo game knowing this.

    Rift is still alive? If so, Gamigo really kept it under the radar. For what possible reason lol? Why this "event" now?

    Was thinking the same thing never thought I would see a rift announcment here in my lifetime, a event one at that.
    I saw them back in the day. Before the riftshow began. :)

    I really liked this game and the souls aspect was truly unique. Pity it just whittled away.

    Gamigo sucks but let's remember Trion drove this game into the ground long before Gamigo. Was one of my favorite games, got heat for being a "WoW clone" but it had such a fresh take on classes. Not to mention true support/control classes, and an freaking archer healing class which was pretty awesome.

    I forgot about this.  They got me with the fresh start because it came with an extra sub to play with my gf…for like a week and a half.  It’s about the most ‘okay’ game I’ve ever played.

    Storm Legion and thereabouts was a really fun experience. Nightmare Tide was also ok, but that's when the cash shop nonsense started(earrings were locked behind the cash shop iirc and yes, they had useful procs etc). It quickly fell by the wayside afterwards. Didn't really attention for long after that. For the last two years? Yeah, I swear that I was 100% unaware it was alive. If there was a NT experience without all the cash shop nonsense, it would be quite awesome.

    But yeah, Trion ruined this one, not to Gamigo. Don't change the reality of Gamigo, regardless.

    curiousity has killed this cat. I tried GW2 and it looked like dog crap maxed out. Want to see how Rift looks today lol.. Only 18 gigs. do able.

    omg .. I forgot how soothing the DoT numbers were lol. I want to give Gamigo a huge thumbs up  because everything I had, is still there. Mounts, currency, characters, gear, everything. This is the first time I logged in , in about 2 years ish ?

    I will be putting around in Rift for a few days. I want to get to Max Level which is 70. There's a tone  of new zones I've not explored.

    Graphically, looks better then Guild Wars 2 and the performance is better then GW2. Maybe some of you will cross paths on the battel field :)

     I still play Rift keeping it my MMO rotation,  it does still have a dedicated base,  my guild Free Masons has 20-40 on any nite . And to every player they are happy Gamigo has kept it up and running, the option was to shutter it otherwise.

       Everyone does wish they invested more resources into new content/updates/patching and server petformance..in spite of these shortcomings everyone is happy they can continue to play the game they love.
