No, why would you think that?  It's FREE content.   You do have to have a DDO account to use it.

If you tried to log into DDO using your LotRO username and password it won't work and you will get a 'no subscription found' error.  BUT that doesn't mean a subscription such as you're paying monthly.  It's the other meaning of the word as in 'you've subscribed to a newsletter or you subscribe to a certain view' i.e. you've signed up for it.

Facebooks Group's 'JOIN' buttons could easily have said 'SUBSCRIBE'.
