I'm guessing most of them were financially invested in the game?

More than 2000 surveys were filled out.

And the scope of the test seems pretty small. Mostly people who knew about the test which would probably be people that follow the game so it makes sense the majority of testers were fans.

Hard to say who the fans were. We can guess if they are fans they could be Blockchain enthusiasts but that might also be unlikely as the test was open to everyone.

Either way, the numbers seem pretty good, but it's hard to determine how good since we don't know the exact number of testers that played enough to get to the survey.

When you see reference to people waiting 3 hours to get to play alongside 90%+ recommend score it just doesn’t add up unless they are incentivized to give that type of feedback. I would be more interested in the “why” they would recommend anyhow.

Didn't Ember Sword promise to distribute their revenue among land owners?

That 92% is meaningless since most of them are likely people who will get paid more if the game does better. Ember Sword would have to be truly atrocious game before people's conscience kicked in and they would not recommend it in order to earn money.

What's to recommend? It's so incredibly superficial.

It doesn't even scratch Albion Online as is, and it's trying to dig directly at the same type of game. Meh.
