Questions about CoH Servers

Hi all,

Brand new to the site.   I'm gonna buy CoH this week.  I was wondering what servers people play, and more importantly, why did you choose that server?

Well I play on Champion, I started there because a RL friend played there, but he is not on very much any more.  The good thing about champion is most people are very helpful, but that can be said about most servers, I know champion has many events that are community run, like Tanker Tuesday, Forum Fwendesday, a Blaster day, Defender Day and the upcomming Superhero Olympics.  Also on the COH forums you will find info about the servers, and what they are unofficially known for.  If you are looking for the most Populated I know Justice and I think Virtue have the most people, and usually have the heaviest load.  IMHO I don't think you can choose a bad one, just make sure to team up, find friends, and hopfully find an active Super Group and you will have a lot of fun.

I am playing on the Protector server. I chose is because my dad made a character on his account before me, and i wanted to play with him... The servers are pretty balanced as of population, but Freedom, Pinnacle, and Virtue seem to have a bit higher population most of the time.

I am on Virtue. It was chosen as the unofficial roleplay server.  I also found a fan site community of Virtue players.

I play on Justice, and we have a large community. Freedom and Virtue are also pretty big i believe.  most people just pick a server when they start, i had charaters on a few different servers and just started playing the one on Justice more.  then i gained friends and got my brothers to play here too.
