I was hoping that post-campaign XP in T3 and T4 would be addressed and they seem to have done just that:

Experience Rewards

  • Significantly increased the experience awarded for completing Nightmare Dungeons.
  • Significantly increased the experience gained from killing monsters in Nightmare Dungeons.
  • Helltide chests now provide substantially more bonus experience when opened.
  • Significantly increased rewarded experience from completing individual Whispers across the board.

Very nice QOL for Nightmare dungeons also added:
  • Players can now teleport to their Nightmare Dungeon directly through the map.

Many bug fixes and many class changes as well in the form of mostly small buffs to many skills and no notable nerfs.

There are some crazy ass bugs patched.

The small class changes are good. Speaking to the sorc changes, spark needed a bump. I had hoped to see some changes to teleport cooldown or charges, something.

The developer notes communicating awareness and intent to address are a double-edged sword. I'm glad they communicated the desire to make all classes feel interesting and powerful and that they are working on ideas to do so.

However, it is a little concerning they need time and consideration to tweak the system. Did they not take into account this need when designing their system? Is interconnectedness of the combat damage modifiers so complex that small tweaks that would boost on class might do so to others that don't need it. It just left me with the impression that this is a puzzle and I feel for an industry leading AAA studio and IP with this much history, it really shouldn't be.

I think at this point they didn't dive too deep into fundamental class changes and they likely just used metrics of what's getting used and what isn't and tweaked the have-nots a bit while leaving the popular stuff alone.

Large as the number of things patched is, it's still just a 0.01 patch, not the 0.1 they're rumored to be working on. I would expect more "serious" changes in that one when it comes before Season 1.

Nothing in this patch makes me feel logging back into the game.

My companions Druid build is still useless in Tier3 and up. They did nothing to fix the companions ( HP not scaling + companion damage is still bugged ).
