The patch will be on the 18th two days before the season starts. Just some helpful advice, at that point log into all of your characters before the 20th so you don't have to once the season starts as you know there will be a queue most likely on day one and you don't want to be logging in and out. It will record everything all of your characters have found which is forever at that point.

Things that are being changed with the patch will actually be in effect on the 18th for the eternal realm also. Just will not start season and it's stuff for two more days.

Oh and btw, don't expect much from the season. They just patched helltides and made super uniques drop like candy, because Blizzard doesn't have time to test a thing. That company is a joke.

"This progress carries over from the Eternal realm to seasonal characters"

This was my only question and the answer I had hoped to get. While I don't mind starting from level 1, grinding all those dungeons and tracking down all the altars in order to cap renown in all 5 zones was a grind I didn't want to repeat.

They temporarily disabled uber uniques from dropping until they can fix it Friday

Cool class. Like a Vampire Dragoon.

Shame it's wasted on Immortal, but hopefully it'll come to 4 someday, alongside a paladin/crusader/templar/inquisitor class of some kind.

Except only lilith altars and discovered areas (fog of war on map) carry over to season, so you'll still need to grind dungeons and quests for renown.

That was par de course the last couple years of Diablo 3 too.

So far this whole Season 1 reveal is deeply underwhelming.  Had expected them to splash out with a bang and come up with something more exciting. But nope.

The itemization is so hilariously broken in this game and instead of fixing it, let's just add new itemization mechanics with Season 1. /shrug

The campaign was decent and cinematics were good. That's about it, everything else seems weak. The itemization is flat out crap, once again soulbound uniques though this time round can't even trade with party members. Limited trading because a few mouth breathers who it will never affect anyway scream about D2JSP.

Mob density pretty much everywhere is terrible, even the so called Helltides where someone forgot the tide part. The builder spender system combined with crap density promotes feast famine gameplay.  Was waiting to see what S1 would bring, was honestly expecting set items instead got some gems to add even more shit itemization mechanics.

Honestly it’s like the Blizzard devs no longer know how to build mechanics that are not used in WoW.

I wish they would stop wasting time on temporary dumb mechanics and focus on making the core game better instead.

I know its is a good cost cutting exercise but doing joint media items for DI and D4? D4 is clearly a decent game and thought of quite differently from Immoral, their media team should know this is not a good idea.

I think they’re combining the two of them on purpose, as if stapling a turd to a sandwich means we’ll all eat both.

Enjoying D4, still, just not “enthralled”. It’s okay, top-down 20 years later is still kind of annoying me - feels cheap.

NGL - I decided to play Immoral to see how far I got before I hit the wall…and I’m having fun for now. That said, it’s been “candy feeding” for the past 20+ levels, so we’ll see how far I get before they think they’ve set the hook and decide to drop the paywall border at my feet. At that point, I’ll walk away as disappointed as I’d always expected.

The Blizzard media team knows that Diablo Immortal is only hated by nobody forum zombies and YouTubers trying to cash in on the nobody forum zombies, the greater video game community does not care.

DI is a predatory pay to win game. Every real gamer is against it. Good luck convincing people otherwise.

The irony in DI is that it was designed for the Chinese mark.....oh I'm sorry, I meant it was designed to reach a 'broader demographic......' then part of that demographic blocked their business so they are left adjusting how 'broad' that 'demographic' has to be.

Right. We are absolutely against it.

It's just that being against it is indistinguishable from "not caring" these days. We were vocally against it then. We're not talking about it now. We have no reason to talk about it now. We aren't spending money on it. If we could take money from it and reassign it elsewhere like Diablo 4 to show that we are against it, we would. But we can't.

I don't care about D:I or if people want to play it. I'm not going to hate on anyone for that. I couldn't care less. I play what I want and I'm good with others doing the same.

On the other hand, I really wish this site would stop combining D4 and D:I into the same article. It comes across as lazy and it is annoying. You don't do that with EQ and EQ2 or lump LotRO in with them since they're all Daybreak Games. Stop doing that with D:I and D4.

Not sure if MMORPG is trying to legitimize D:I to everyone else by including it with D4, or if they're just farming clicks cuz so many posters here are easy to provoke and trigger, or what the reason, but please stop it.

I think the problem in both types of logic is that mobile games were never targeted at 'real gamers.' I'd hazard a guess that 90% of mobile games are predatory is some way-shape-form, yet they still pull in more revenue than 'real games' simply because of how they are used (usually as an on-the-go time killer). Humans tend to equate their time to something they value or others close to them value, so for the people these games are targeted at, time is more valuable than money to them. If your kid will shut up if you spend 20$ on a free game, chances are you'll value their silence more than the hour of extra work for that money. Or making a 30minute commute to work via train or whatever less noticeable by candy crush might feel whatever money you give them justified. These are who mobile games are targeted at. Not 'real gamers.'

I actually agree 100%.  The box price plus battlepass should be funding permanent improvements to the game.  and so every seasonal addition should be made with the goal of it being made permanent if it's well received.  That is the model used by GGG with POE and it's server them extremely well.  (With the exception that they've made sooo much permanent that they've done a poor job of streamlining)

Small, temporary seasonal themes are a waste of resources at this point.  And the idea of having to buy expansions if you want tangible changes is a bit distasteful.

I'm trying to remember when the last time Blizzard actually properly tested anything. The only time they use alpha/beta/ptr times is for free PR....because even some of these streamers/content creators say "yeah I let them know that was there at x period but it looks like it made it into live."

Right. You might enjoy eating shit. It's your prerogative. What you can not do, however, is (try to) flog your preference for a fact. Like eating a shit's a comfortable and healthy experience. I will not try to influence your preferences(and will ask for a fair treatment in return), but once you start talking like this ... here you have it.

And every real gamer was, is and should be against Immoral. If not on principle, then via utilitarian rule. Think of yourself, your wallet etc if all games were like that. And do the smartest move, huh?

Ignore that Immoral Turd like we are doing. Don't give it a nano, nah, not even a yoctosecond of your time. Let it wither and die without accomplishing anything.

Also, I fell for a bait. But, meh.
