So that's the reason the bombs launched in 2076. It wasn't the communist invasion, FEV, or the scorch. It was all a big coverup.

There is a saying that the purpose of the obituaries is to announce that Lord Jones has died to people who didn't know that Lord Jones was ever alive.  This is kind of like that, except without the newsworthiness of someone actually dying.

Guys, not reporting on Crypto MMO's is like King Canute telling the tide not to come in. I do wish this site and all the others would take a firmer stance against them, but when has gaming journalism every truly stood up against a new revenue model?

It's not about reporting on the revenue model, it's reporting on MMOs. It's like, if you start telling local news you don't want to hear about all the depressing local crime. If that's all you got, that's all you got.

I really know next to nothing about blockchain/nft. And so, cannot comment about its going ons. My main thought through it all, with the little understanding I have, is it's a step closer to something akin to a global currency (think most sci fi games with credits as a currency). This current... whatever, is a travesty, but I feel, as long as I actually have the gist of it (and I might not, I cannot fully comprehend not-money) that in the end a singular ... amount that can be used/taken in/out without the current issues would be beneficial (again, ala sci fi, tap a button credits transferred).

Except that it's not even news about a game.  It's one person quitting his job and being replaced by someone else, which affects the game so little that no one would know the difference if we weren't explicitly told.  Unless it means a major change in the direction of a game or a major change in staffing levels, that's hardly ever going to be newsworthy.  Especially not in an industry where employment is as volatile as game development.

But that's the issue in this particular case. They got rid of a level designer and now it seems like they are expecting the community to be the "new senior level designer"

That's a big shift between the developers specifically creating content for their game to expecting the players to do it.

I get that there are games that rely on UGC and this is one of them, but seeing as how most UGC is terrible especially in this game, where the mechanics are still being ironed out and growing it's hard to put the emphasis on players and expect them to make something worthwhile.

Did he actually leave with e a heavy heart? I have to imagine the heavy heart came from realizing he was working on a crap-ass blockchain game which was going to be nothing more than another cancerous lesion on the skin of the gaming world.
