    Because of what you have to do to create outfits in WoW.

    All you need is to have the piece of gear and some gold.

    Other MMOs require you to make or buy some special item that destroys the piece of gear to then be able to use it as an outfit.

    WoW may not have dyeing but it's an easy system you understand and use, unlike the more awful outfit systems like FF14.
