RIP Archeage Unchained

Today Kakao annouced that Unchained players will be forced into the P2W (legacy) version of Archeage at the start of November. After that Unchained will cease to exist.

Kind of sad but it was nice to be able to play the game for a few years without spending far too much on the extremely expensive cash shop that legacy has.

    This is honestly almost as dumb as them making it p2p.....they should've just went back to the b2p format since all this will do is make people outright quit for the most part. Say what you want about Pearl Abyss, BDO would be in a HELL of alot worse state under Kakao. Feel bad for anyone actually excited for AA2

    I guess that depends on where and how long you play.

    There have been long time unchained players that are fully geared and really happy about the merge since they want to pvp. Many of the not fully geared unchained players on the other hand will most likely quit since they will be in for a terrible time when p2w Legacy gets forced onto them.

    Legacy players that spent a lot of money on the other hand are very likely happy to find new prey. There are some negative comments from Legacy players that don't want to loose their land, but that's pretty much of all the negativity that I saw from Legacy.

    EDIT: I finally understood your joke. But I'll still leave my posting up :blush:
