Do you spend most of your time in MMOs camping for rare mounts or picking up old school transmog items? If so, you'd probably fall into the category of completionist. Here are five MMOs that are fantastic for a player like yourself.

WOW is a horror show for completionists as they locked mounts and pets behind going to Blizzcon, getting them in their first CCG, or buying them in the shop. It's literally impossible to get complete collections in WOW. And so I'd say it's good for collectors but terrible for completionists.

Guild Wars 2 is interesting. It is perfect for completionists. I am one and its nice because theoretically I can find all the points and go to all of the places and do all of the story and quests.

However, because it is so completionist based, it kicks in my OCD and frustrates me when I cannot find that one spot or complete that one puzzle so its like a running tally of my OCDness. But thats just me. I think its the most completionist of all the MMOs out there, but too much for me.

I enjoyed GW2 for years, until they starting locking a lot their content completion behind jumping puzzles, time gates and platforming, which I hate. The Dungeons and Mists were crap and getting a decent party together was rough, even in a guild. I found ESO to be a lot more group and solo friendly.

ESO by far has 1000x more things to do and complete then WOW.. Crafting to all the styles and triats. Housing and the crafting and furnishing and crafting of these. Collect all the patterns to be able to do this. The champion point system that caps at like 3600! Dungeons, vet modes, pledges, trials, archieve dung, stealing items, gathers, writs, dailies, different chars and armor sets, upgrading gear etc. Not having all this replaced and pointless when a new DLC comes out is so nice. And I know I have missed so much.

Yeah sorry.. Did wow for so many years and was dumbed down way to much, ESO nice change.

Pfft, this list ...for casual collectors I guess.

Play EVE Online, over 28 real life years just to collect all of the skills on your character.

Never mind trying to build, fly every ship hull or master the many activities including market trading, exploring and collecting star systems for ones empire.

But sure, you all go on collecting your "stuff" like pets,  sparkle ponies and prissy costumes.....

    ;)

That was another one I hated. It may be different now but back when I started advancement in the game required grouping; seems normal for an MMO, but the mechanics didn't reward veteran players who had completed the lower level content in expansions and there wasn't enough solo content to level fully.

So even though I was in the largest guild on my server I could never get any help completing group quests because most vets were lethargic and didn't want to help a noob player. It literally halted my progression in the game and grinding XP on mobs wasn't possible in EQ2, you got XP from completing the quests, so I left and never went back.

This list read like an advertisement for dying games.

Bro, that was YEARS ago when the game launched. It is a completely different game now. Please play a current game before you go shitting on it.

I am so good, I backstabbed your face!
