Some materials within Palworld are a bit hard to come by, and some are downright difficult to obtain. The hardest part is usually finding out where to get a certain material needed for crafting and Pal Fluids are one of them.

I must admit I did not think the site did these sort of "guide" articles, especially about a game that is only in early access.

Oh yeah I was looking for this for the hot tub so the pals can relax and not get stressed out. My pals have sprains and fractures and get sick now especially the deer like pals, from all the smashing into trees all day long. I cannot treat it yet since I am missing bone. I made the medicine when they got sick. I love petting them. They work so hard except the cattiva who is a slacker but they do so much so I rotate the pals in the box.

It is nonsense to you because you aren't playing the game. Why shouldn't they write guides to a game that just came out, what articles will they write about when hardly any MMORPG is coming out. This is a multiplayer game if you invite people to your server or play on the official servers. So they are writing about things you encounter because it is a popular game. If you're unhappy about the focus skip the thread.

I prefer articles like this over the endless business operations and development failure articles. The constant stream of indie mmo development drivel is insufferable.

Some of these are much better or useful than others. This one isn't bad. The info may sound obvious or simple when reading it, but in a game with little to no hand holding, sometimes an informative bump in a direction can help players start to figure stuff out.

These games are a lot different than mmrpgs, which are basically a follow the dots and paint by the numbers type of thing. In a crafting base builder there can be any number of choices and decisions that can strongly affect how smoothly or rough the struggle can go; like what infrastructure to spend resources on, which mobs to tame and in what order, stat choices on level up for players and tames, what trait or tech perks to unlock, and things like that. Make some bad choices and the results can be setbacks and loss of gear, resources, tames, etc.

So, articles like this can give players ideas on different approaches to solving the problems of the day.

Guys, I am commenting on the fact we hardly ever see articles like this and wondering if it shows the site has made a editorial change in direction? Normally anything like this is just a spin of from the latest studio announcement about the game.

If it is useful for posters then its worth it and we do need a break from the "business operations" side, I could not agree more there! What I would really like to see is more "I am playing this and here is a spin off article."

Yes I agree 100%, this site needs to adapts in order to stay relevant.  MMO devs dont seem to understand that gamers that pay money are the actual customers.  Most MMO devs make games their Dev team likes and dont care about customers at all right now.

If MMO Devs make games for customers and not dev teams then they will have success.

This game and many other survival games are similar enough to MMO's that it makes sense for this site to cover them.  There is alot of overlap and most of those customers play the 2 genres interchangably.

I just started this game, and this article was useful for me.

This site is a business and needs to make money.  This game is viral right now, why shouldnt they be part of its success to encourage readership in a similar genre.

It’s SEO. Plain and simple. These types of articles/guides we’ve historically not done, but this is what Google ranks most now. And this is how the lights stay on. There isn’t an editorial change per se, just expanding the scope. You aren’t going to see full on wikis, but there will be more and more guides moving forward.
