It's easy to make a trailer with nice landscapes and pretty models walking around. There's no reason to get excited until they show actual combat.

Buy to play is a step in the right direction, but how are you paying for servers? If you don't have a sub, it's going to be a lot of sucky microtransactions.

Kakao huh? I kinda saw that coming...

Passing this up for sure; there are lots of other games of it's type coming out anyway around the same time, at least we can pick and choose.

BDO was B2P at first under Kakao, and it was soon became predatory P2W... Also 12 km2 seems rather small in an MMORPG game, its like Mafia's map size. Bad news...

I didn't get my money's value out of BDO... it just didn't make any sense to me. I'll take a very big "wait and see" with this one.

Whenever I see a Kakao game my mind right away thinks its gonna be a cash grab and after 2 years service closed

    Kakao games ??? Uggg...

These guys are the worst, when it come to predatory, P2W cash shops.  Their last game, Elyon Online, the cash shop was soo bad, almost everyone I knew quit. The game didn't even last a year, before shutting down.

I will have to take a wait and see approach.

I played BDO and loved the life skills stuff and my whole worker empire was loads of fun. I enjoyed the game a lot and I was the travelling salesman that went far and wide and I only left because  you had to be logged on for a long time and I am not inclined to play hours and hours or leave my computer on for hours and hours with the game on auto.
