If I listened to every reviewer and their skewed opinions especially using a number system, I wouldn’t play any games.
Always best to actually read their reviews and form your own opinion. Or better yet play the games yourself.
Too many people relying on what others think, especially when the only thing they look at is a number.
Those numbers were steam and metacritic user numbers. I dont trust reviewers at all. I mildly trust players when they coincide in opinion between the biggest platforms.
I'm definitely in two minds about this game, though I will likely buy it!
I'm a huge Star Wars fan. But I boycott Electronic Arts. That means I've gone since 2011 without playing a new Star Wars game, thanks to god-awful fucking exclusive license.
So, not only do I now get to play a new Star Wars game, it's a AAA game! I also quite like Ubisoft, and the specific studio, Massive Entertainment, is the same one that built The Division series. Those games were quite good for what they were.
However....
That gameplay trailer looks like shit. The world building looks on point, I was really impressed with some of those vistas. The aliens look great, some of the vehicles look great. But the story-focused nature of the game, being a scoundrel instead of choosing my own class, that to me is a big turnoff. I'll need to watch some more gameplay stuff to see whether I buy it at release, or wait until it's below £20.
Currently Playing: WAR RoR - Spitt rr7X Black Orc | Scrotling rr6X Squig Herder | Scabrous rr4X Shaman

It’s in the title “Outlaws “
It’s not Star Wars “Jedi Knight” or “Star Wars Naughty Nurses.”
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

I trust users less. They can be fickle, have “the dork rage” down vote because they take issue with the most ridiculous things or upvote to make up for the downvotes.
If I listened to players without knowing them first I wouldn’t be playing Dragons Dogma 2 and having a blast.
I just want to read/watch opinions, see if it matches my tastes or dislikes and then I can try the game and see if I like it.

Oh, user reviews are absolutely worthless most of the time. Especially on platforms that don't require game ownership to score.
You forget its Ubisoft. In 3 years they may have pulled the game from their servers and delete people's copies of their game because they feel like it.

OMG I didn't think of that. Better not buy at all then. May be piracy is the best option in their case. I mean if they can willy nilly remove even single player games better not buy any game ever from them. Arseholes.
I'm so angry now over an imagined future where they remove this game. Have they removed single player games that were online?

Why are you shocked? It's an online only game. Like any other gaas/mmo you play, if they close the servers the game goes away. It's a big reason I've gone off those kinds of games. I don't like dumping money and time into a game that can be shut down or only accessed if I give the company even more money.
I am 48 years old and a lifelong diehard Star Wars fan(atic). The game looks amazing but my hatred of Ubisoft and their bastardized monetization policies make me sick and even my love of Star Wars cannot overcome my hatred. Dark side I am (when it comes to Ubisoft).
Revan was right!
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

They are and will continue to remove or delete titles. They have already removed dlc and games.

Better get it now before they turn the servers off and you will never be able to play it like Ubisoft did with The Crew.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

I filled that stop killing games EU form but realised I didn't actually buy the crew. I do hope all those The Crew buyers do.
