I want Destiny 3 for very selfish reasons.

Because Destiny 2 was originally announced as the sandwich go-through title for the then-already planned Destiny 3, I never cared to play it until years later, it was suddenly a permanent GaaS (the only type of game I play).

Obviously, I already missed out on many FOMO items and cosmetics, achievements yada yada, so I always felt on the outside of an inside joke.

Also, I hope Destiny 3 will just be "Destiny" with the vision of having no further sequels ever.

A man can dream. But at least I have Warframe.

Destiny 2 died when they started vaulting content. You can no longer follow the entire storyline - so as a new player, even with the «flashback video» the game is a confusing mess.
Considering the fact that they felt the need to vault content instead of doing something smart like still allowing you to play all the storylines (they used to let you do that at some point) just baffles me

This and it feels like they keep revamping the entire game. They are amazing at making a fluid shooter, but the fact it's basically a different game every 6 months is too much for me.

I am a new player and while I enjoy the game play and have fun with friends, don't ask me anything about the context of the story. I am at a loss lol.

You know what would be a great idea for Destiny 3? After about a year or so, kill the most personable and interesting NPC that players can interact with, as a crutch to refuel interest in a game after taking away content and pissing off players. Then years later, try and pull a Marvel/DC resurrection storyline, adding insult to injury.

its kind of wild that the cycle is looking to repeat itself. Bungie will literally spit on players with something like LF, not do anything to make up for or acknowledge the mistake, then try and sell you the "fix" at another 50 dollars (this DLC will not be worth 50 dollars)
