his week, the studio has released a trailer at Microsoft's ID@Xbox showcase, revealing four new unnamed Pals: a frog, ostrich, some sort of canine, and a mushroom creature.

    Hmm I guess the Nintendo lawyers are still "evaluating" if they are gonna sue these guys.

    Literally none of these look like Pokemon.

    Honestly, the game's very much not for me, as I despise survival trash, but it's nice seeing Pokemon get some successful competition. Usually the competitors just release vastly superior games but flub the monster designs and budget.

    The taming and breeding in Palworld is top notch. It totally rivals ARK in complexity and strategy. The base automation and crafting is better in many ways, even at this early stage.

    Palworld is nothing like Pokemon, except they both share creature taming as a feature.
    Bring back the Naked Chicken Chalupa!

    They definitely used AI to make their characters, and they were definitely seeded with existing Pokemon characters. Even I can see that. Whether they get sued for it or not, who knows. AI artwork and copyright laws, plagiarism ect is a hot topic at the moment. It's going to take someone with deep pockets to take the chance and push the issue through courts.
