Exciting to see Star Citizen's Alpha 3.2 update live! The new character customizer and image upscaling support sound promising. Though it's clear there are still bugs to iron out, it's great to hear positive feedback. Looking forward to seeing how the game progresses.

There have been games that have started development, launched, and then closed in the time it has taken SC to get to alpha.
Same can be said for books, movies, albuns, vehicles, buildings, sculptures etc

It's perfectly normal that different projects can have different layers of complexity and requirements.
Look at what the Chinese managed to build in 12 years, 27K miles of high speed rail lines.

But clearly railroads are easier to build than Star Citizen.  ;)

Although the Chinese might go broke from their endeavours, something I don't think Robert's Industry is at risk of doing.

Well, they do always spend their money -- just not always wisely. Then there's the doubtless bloated salaries for the well connected.  I still suspect that all the infrastructure has been spun off, and is fully owned by the top dogs.  Probably rented back to CIG.

The big move to England may reveal some more interesting bits due to the UK's financial rules, but probably not anytime soon.

Heard some interesting comparisons of SC's cost vs India's moon mission, but haven't checked to see if that's legit or just blather.

If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

Thanks.  I was about to make a character on the New Babbage site like they said in the tutorial.   I'll look around Arcorp tonight and scout it out for them.
Will only become available when the free fly and Invictus Expo opens up Next week I think.
From the FAQ it sounds like the free trial players get a ship:  We provide every account with an Aegis Avenger Titan as a free loaner to get you to the event and back!

So it sounds like they can start elsewhere (like New Babbage) and avoid the crowds/Lag right?   They just want to see the game.  I guess we can swing by the Event later if we want to try a multi crew ship

Adventure beckons, but a proper launch does not. :)

Well, it took Darkfall about 11 years but it did Launch. Let’s see if this will be a similar circumstance.

If it does launch I also wonder how much money they’ll need to make to keep it afloat?

I miss the Darkfall Era BADLY.
