image So a lot like what happened with Team Bloodlust and Blade & Soul, NCsoft is looking to the west once again to make up for financial shortfalls... which means T&L's microtransactions are likely to be turbocharged, very much in the same way Blade & Souls was....

Is not that there is no more a MMOARPG audience. Is that the studios are literally making shitty games and takes shitty decisions.

I mean is NcSoft. Their last decent game was Aion, followed by Blade and Souls. That's years ago.

I'll probably playing it a bit to see how it goes, but .. as I said, is NcSoft. They disappointed hard in the last .. 10 years.

It is not only NCsoft disappointing. Everyone is disappointing when it comes to MMORPGs. Except SquareEnix with their FF 14, i guess.

I wonder if the genre is really, irremediably, dead at this point

I actually cant remember last time I enjoyed MMORPG, it must have been years. Because of p2w models I rarely enjoy a game now a days. I still remember how my friends and I enjoyed old school games like Metin2, Aion, SilkRoad and WoW. Back then you rushed from school just to hop onto Skype with your friends and spent hours just grinding and having laughs.

I played the APAC version and enjoyed the gameplay. I really enjoyed playing with that region in terms of people and how active they are. Alot of folks there had issues with NCSoft prior just word of mouth in discords. I always ignore micro transactions unless I want a vanity item. I plan on playing this published version in the western region and will ignore micro transactions. It was time for a new direction sales wise, not sure how this will work out for AGS. Hoping for fun though.
