I am still skeptical but from a Dune fan and lore perspective, I am glad they are doing this alternate story type setting. At least it will quell the loud always-negative "fans" that scream and every little minor discrepancy.

Yeah but the "no Fremen" thing is a pretty big departure from the lore and focus from the books. I've read the "they're going to add the Fremen later" thing but the Fremen are more the core of Arrakis than any thing other than the worms themselves. (at least, IMO) I'd focus on the Fremen and add some of the major factions in at later dates. But this is Funcom and there's going to be a whole lot of problems at launch anyway.

I love Dune but have absolutely zero faith that failcom will do it justice or not fail miserably.
