Pax Dei Team Fixes Some More Errors, Shares New Update on Mistakes Made Addressing Login Issues

SystemSystem Member UncommonPosts: 12,599

Given the issues that the Pax Dei team has been working to address since the game went into Early Access earlier this month, their new update probably isn't too surprising. Their ongoing “Stories from the War Room”, Mainstream is now sharing details on “ The DNS Debacle” along with today’s new patch.

Their biggest mistake was releasing the game as it is right now, early access or not. So many people are going to bounce off this game immediately, never try again, or even bother to look its way. That might be due to launch issues, lack of actual content in the game, etc. There's a ton of big releases coming out this year and next. Maybe even an MMO or two.

Seems like a wasted launch, I don't even think the Asmongold streams will save them. The game is kind of awful in its current state and I don't see it improving for a long time.
I like to complain about games.

Haven't played it jet, but 40.- for this alpha... never ever. What I have seen on youtube did not convince me, not because it is alpha nor because it's expensive, but the concept to make a game just to do decorative items is pretty lame. Crafting is ok, but when there are no goals why you wear clothes, eat food, build houses or create any other things then it's pointless and just for functionalism.

I doubt the purpose of the game is to make decorative items.

It is good to hear that Pax Dei is actively working on addressing the login issues and providing updates. https://njmcdiirect.org/ However, it's concerning to hear about additional errors surfacing during the process.

I appreciate their transparency in sharing the updates, but I hope they can quickly resolve these issues to ensure a smoother experience for all users.

I think people need to remember early access games are exactly that so expectations should be tempered on performance and even game breaking bugs.

I'm starting to wonder if many people read "Early Access" as an invitation to a head start in a completed game over free to play or subscriptions instead of reading it as "Game incomplete, incoming wipes/bugs/grief"

Sort of like early seating at a restaurant or concert event.  Reading it as an invitation to a premium access level instead of paying to test content.

100%. This is exactly the issue. But they will also argue that the game did not meet expectations or devs lied and try and refund it too. They care nothing for the game or what its trying to be, its a free test. To them its open beta.
