If they're spinning multiple projects a year down, that sounds like they need to spend some time on analyzing why. That's just money thrown in the fire. I'm not a game developer but I am a business software developer, and I can tell you we don't just willy nilly start new projects that we have no idea if they have a market. Throwing spaghetti on the wall to see what sticks is a really expensive way to find your next product. Oh well I guess that helps explain the layoffs.
