Throne and Liberty's open beta is coming next week, and Amazon Games has released details, start times, pre-load info, and more to know before the test begins on July 18th.

Mark my words: players are going to scream and cry once the game is released because they believe this "accelerated progression" is how the game should play.

I have no hopes for this game. I bet it'll fizzle out as soon as it comes out. The only game I'm looking forward to this year is "Where Winds Meet" and maybe Star Citizen 4.0.
The test build will feature accelerated progression with bonuses in order to get people to max level fast and be able to test out high level and endgame content. Amazon has an event schedule detailing what to expect.
We don't want the public to know that this game is a complete massive grind fest. The only way to accelertate that is to use the cash shop.
Dynamic Events come in three categories –PvE (peace), PvP (Dominion), and Guild–and will spawn every 3 hours during the beta. Various areas of the map will spawn these events and they can range from things like wolf hunting contests or festivals.
We don't want people to know that this game is forced FFA PVP. It will be 3 hours of PVE, and then go to FFA PVP. If you don't like PVP, you will have to log out till it goes back PVE for 3 hours.
There will be daily Conquest battles starting July 20th at 8:00 p.m server time. There will be two varieties up for testing, Battle for the Boonstone and Battle for the Riftstone.
This is guild vs guild pvp. Winning guild get to control the area. Guilds can collect the taxes of the area, also able to toggle PVP/PVE in nerby dungeons.
Two features that won't be part of the test are Castle Siege and Tax Delivery (think payload).
We don't want the public to know that the whole economy revoles around a real money auction house. Because of that, you can actually make real money in the game. Also turns the game into a RMT heaven. So it will be botted and hacked to death.
The fourms were messed up for me for like an hour tonight, and have been for quite a few days. Is any also experience this ?
How so? I haven't had any issues though I also try to use my laptop over my phone as these forums are annoying if you want to cut out a section on the phone.

Having accelerated progression during beta testing used to be something that worked well years ago, but there was a time in which there was a more prominent level of maturity amongst MMORPG players, as the age groups were far older than they are these days.
I'd argue they should actually scale down the experience gain for the beta; just so when the commercial launch comes around, the progression feels better and it allows a sense of excitement that can't be duplicated when it's already been muddied by higher exp rates the first time in.
But something tells me this will be more like Amazon 'promoting the game' than the traditional beta testing, so they probably want people to see as much as humanly possible, as quickly as humanly possible, because they want their content creators to hype this game to the moon.
Again, an awful idea, and it only benefits their shareholders or whoever their money-people are, not the players. We, the players, may as well be unpaid sweatshop workers, which Amazon should be super familiar with.
