I tried their other mobile game and it was dull as dull can be. I don't usually play mobile games but thought I'd try it.
This looks better but I think the more interesting idea is that they could utilize these ideas into the next Elder Scrolls Game. The idea of designing and making a castle.

Tried Fallout Shelter and got bored with it after a while. OTOH, it probably wasn't a game meant to be continuously played for months and months.
Alverant, in case you have not noticed few games are made now to be played for months and months. Gaming is front loaded and as super casual as can be, more the shame.
I played it a couple of days since I'm in one of the regions where it launched earlier. It has interesting setting and good graphics, but boring gameplay. Fallout Shelter was much more fun.
Once upon a time the reaction to a mobile Bethesda game would have been 'no way, get out of here'. I guess we live in strange times and I am living in an alternate timeline watching "as the stomach turns".

I think that runs along the lines of games as religion. They have to be like this/they can’t be allowed that…
A mobile game doesn’t take away from a pc or console counterpart.
I mean, Blades was deadly dull but their other games are still good. At least to me.

That is not the real issue, mobiles have changed the way people play games as mobile gameplay and cash shop practices move into console and PC.

I mean the people got used to it, they got years and years trained to accept it. Here and there was a company a bit to quick with their moves like ea in star wars battlefront but it was a slow and steady progress.
People should have made more outcrys and maybe should have been more willing to pay more for a full game and not cry arround if the normal prices got a price bump, i mean inflation happens and games get more expensive in the making and the people didnt want to pay more for a full game so the companys get the costs from somewhere else (microtransactions) and people just plaid along. Company saw that they can make way more money this way and here we are

I agree with you that players are to blame, that goes back to taking up pre-orders, through thinking F2P was a good idea, to playing early access. You are quite right that players not being prepared to accept a price hike is partly to blame, but everything from pre-digital pre-orders to cryptocurrency is not about keeping up with rising development costs.
Gaming has become the most lucrative entertainment industry outstripping film years ago, this is about maximizing profit. But once again, yes if we had been prepared to pay for subscriptions, to pay for higher box prices we would not be in as bad a place as we are now.

I'm commenting on Kitarad's comment that at one point there would be an outcry for a Bethesda game. It goes right along side the whole fake pc vs console wars. Wars? Really? Yes there are people who prefer one type or another but the vast majority of people don't really care. I would also bet dollars to donuts that consoles are more popular as one can play many of the same games without having to buy/build an expensive pc. And update it with an expensive video card when the time comes.
mobile games are there own thing. They are convenient play on the go games. They were always going to become popular for regular people who don't play video games on pc or console.
I would say of the few people I know who play mobile games they absolutely don't play on pc or console. They are not "gamers" per se.

There is still a PC versus console war? PC's won years ago Sovrarth.
I think there are way more people who only play mobile games than there are people who play mobile and another platform. You are quite right they are not gamers, anymore than I would describe someone who only plays board games at Xmas a 'gamer'.
