It does, this was a marketing decision for more clicks.

Their MMO definition is not bad just not sure they realise what a can of worms that is to open. I will sit patiently here and wait for the first poster to ask "Is this a MMO"? This time that question will have layers of meaning.

But how many people on shared server constitutes as a massive amount of players? 5? 10? 100? 1000?

I don't consider any of the other "awards" handed out by the media to be of any value other than seeing where that particular rags biases lie, so why would I consider these any different?

It has to be a "large number", mathematically that means "numbers over 1 million", but I am guessing they are not using the mathematical definition.
