This is probably WAY to early to ask, but whats the reception been like so far? My friend i don't think has had time to play it so i can't bug them about it.

General consensus is the expansion is "mid". Not the worst, far from the best.

Hasn't that been like every expansion since Legion?

I really like it. You feel like a character again that is caught up in events, very akin back to older expansions. It so much of being a "chosen one" as being a hero who is working with other heroes to prevent a calamity.
Lots of lesson learned from the last two expansions. I love the delves and the companion system (inspiration from Diablo 3 and ESO). The zones are gorgeous and music is incredible. Last night while questing, I stopped at one point and just sat and looked at the zone and listened to the music.
The key to me is not the quality now but will Blizzard keep pace with content and a quicker release schedule.
For me, its the best expansion since Legion hands down and probably going back to pre-Cata. It makes me very nostalgic for past WOW and since I have played (off and on) since release, that makes me happy.

Nope! Since Legion the expansions were bad to very bad.

Hey thanks for this feedback. The delves are really the only thing interesting to me as everything else sounds like same old same old. I'm still not feeling super compelled to dive back in, but it's on my radar which is more than I can say for a lot of this game's history post Pandaria which is the last I played with any seriousness.

Thanks, and the delves are cool. The companion system is neat too and I have enjoyed it a lot. Both so far are the standouts. I got to level 75, taking my time and smelling the roses and seeing the sights. I am in no rush at all.
