the problem with mods is they rarely work or they work for a week and then break another mod or crash the game
Just pick simple mods.
a dungeon or weapon etc. don’t use mods that require a lot or are complicated and you’ll be fine.
I tend to only go for the bare essentials that help with playability, like the mod that made your horse turn better in Elder Scrolls. Then when I have finished the game I install the big new chapter type mods, that way you avoid the bugs.

I'd wait a week or two before modding Baldur's Gate 3 right now. As I mentioned in the article, the final patch for the game launches this week so stuff is going to be a bit dicey for a while
