Since when is focusing on gameplay a bad thing?  Delivering good gameplay is hard, which is why so many games fail at it.  If you're not heavily focused on good gameplay, then you're not going to accidentally succeed at it.  Focusing on sending some political or cultural message usually detracts from gameplay, no matter what the intended message is.

Dattelis isn't demanding that everyone be "100% in line with (his) ideals".  He just wants a good game to play. You're the one demanding conformity to your ideals with your rejection of the primacy of good gameplay.

What's funny about this individual is that they do not even know my stance on the issue as a whole. Sony was literally using that as a selling point for Concord with the gameplay obviously not getting as much attention. Couple that with them charging for such mediocre gameplay when you have OW2 for free and Marvel's Rivals not long after. Plus its a game. Maybe I'm just old but I dont think about a character's identity/sexuality/etc when I'm trying to shoot them in the face nor do I feel knowing it will help me play the character better. The 'immersion' element that those things might add to a shooter I can confidently say for a majority of people (not all) that play shooters, does nothing for them or is at least low priority.

SWG had a place in player profiles where you could enter bloodtype, no one threw a fit over its inclusion at the time and it was easy enough to ignore. While not super popular in the western market, the story behind it was interesting.

Playing off a little humor, I replied, "Well, I've never needed to search for other player's by their blood type." We both laughed and then I learned something interesting. Having been on the project since the beginning, Matt casually shared some history with me. "Oh that. Raph wanted that in because (much to my surprise) apparently "blood type" is a big Japanese matchmaking feature, like astrology signs here." Who knew?

First of all, please refer from referring to another poster as a "loser".  That is incendiary and uncalled for.

If a game decides to push a controversial political or cultural message, everyone on this thread has an unspoken assumption of which side of the political spectrum that message will lie on.  If there were any serious doubt as to who is trying to force his ideals upon whom, that should settle the issue.  The side of the political spectrum that wants for entertainment to blatantly push its own controversial ideals is the one trying to force their ideals on the other side.

"Controversial political message." The only Controversy is coming from the side that does view trans people as people. People want to live their lives, and play their games the way they want. Having pronouns, surgery scars, or whatever "woke" ideas you deem to be "interrupting the quality of the game" is only of issue to those with the mental capability of a 5 year old. Concord wasn't made good or bad by its addition of diversity, concord failed because it offered nothing new to the market. Take your harmful centrism somewhere else where you aren't both sidsing bigotry.
