I wonder if most console players will stay on the console-only servers to "avoid cheaters"? That seems to be a common line of reasoning.

didn't they basically add an aimbot to the game itself? What more would a PC player do on top of that to cheat?

It is aim assist really. On ranged attacks it does not lead your target so unless they are running straight at you, it is worthless. Plus you cannot get headshots when it is enabled. Most PC players will have it disabled, at least the ranged players will. Melee, different story. I play ranged and did not have any issues with it being used against me in the pvp i participated in during beta. Once it goes live, i am curious to test it to see if you can dodge out of an attack with someone using aim assist. I can imagine that dodging, blocking and cc will be even more important now. But, a lot of games use it and pvp still thrives in those. But i do see it taking away from what makes this games combat so much fun. I think they put it into the game again to even the playing field between gamepad and keyboard. PC players are no longer the target audience.
