IS has been clear they are building the structor of Ashes in the Riverlands that we are testing now. Once they have the structure done, they will apply it to the other areas of the game. This is a common development process. Once the River Lands are done, theoretically, the other areas will just need to attach its content to that structure they've applied from what they've done with Riverlands.

That being said. All of Ashes that Steven wants to launch with is bigger then in square kilometers is bigger then all of WoW and it's expansions. I just don't see that happening in the time line set out.
This sounds so much like how Pantheon is being developed as well as the approach Roberts Industries is taking with SC.

Yet in both of those games succeeding new  areas being created more quickly really hasn't played out yet despite both being in development even longer than Ashes.

Maybe the third time will be a charm, eh?

    From the internet...

It’s quite common for games to be developed in phases and to use frameworks from other areas to build new sections. The game development process typically follows several stages, including planning, pre-production, production, testing, and post-production1.

During these stages, developers often use game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine, which provide a robust framework with built-in features such as physics engines, 3D rendering tools, and scripting languages. This allows developers to focus on creating unique aspects of the game without having to build everything from scratch.

By using these frameworks, developers can efficiently build and expand different areas of the game, ensuring consistency and saving time. This approach also helps in maintaining a cohesive design and gameplay experience throughout the development process.

But once again, Pantheon, Star Citizen, heck Camelot Unchained and some others have failed to clear this stumbling block and roll out later phases and areas...

But maybe this time around things will turn out differently.

I do dispute and I have personally seen the areas of the game that looked UE5 and looking great. I have also seen areas that are clearly ported over and not retouched by the development team. I can dispute it because I'm playing the game.
Didnt you also speak so highly of Pantheon for years, and praise how much progress Pantheon had been making.  Then when other people actually could try it, it was probably one of the worst MMO I ever seen?

Similarly you have been assuring everyone how Ashes systems would prevent griefing newbs and this would not be a problem in AoC?  Yet now developers are taking action to ban players for precsely this reason because it's become such a problem.

Its hard to believe your opinions are objective or based in reality.

It feels as though your opinions are influenced more by hope than by whats actually happening.  There seems to be a gap between your statements and the reality of these games.
